I have been reading that vets usually lack knowledge in pet nutrition and are more likely to be against/very cautious against it. I'm currently feeding a home made meal (made by a seller) consisting of chicken meat, heart, liver, neck and head and it is not cheap. So I'm thinking of trying to do it myself but worried about the imbalance of nutrients or other precautions of raw feeding.

Hi guys, can i ask if anyone has any recommended vet for cats at PJ / Uptown / SS2 area? I used to bring my 3 musketeers to Healing Hands (used to be at DJ, now moved to Uptown) but last i went to them they were very rough in handling them and my cats were ultra stressed.

Really appreciate the recommendations, thank you! <3

sorry if it is a reposta but i can't seem to find a vet list on the front page paisehh smile.gif

OK, I'm pretty sure they are taught pet nutrition, even if they aren't specialized in it. The main reason they usually advise against it is because most people don't know wtf they're doing and end up harming the cat. The nutrients a cat requires are of a delicate balance, it's not something to fk around with. I do agree you should find a pet nutritionist, but it's possible your vet may be able to recommend one to you.

contrary to popular belief, they don't actually get kickbacks. would be best if we stop perpetuating that myth.

my go-to vet for my 2 cats is Pets Health at Aman Suria. Docs are gentle in handling them, price is reasonable (compared to the one I used to go at Animal Clinic, SS14 sweat.gif ) and open on weekends too. Can try ya, truly recommend thumbsup.gif

Is the thing we use to disinfect the premise for covid, effective as well for the parvo virus?

Cremation with petrol might be suitable? I read high temperature effectively killed the virus, no?

This is my friend's cat. His shop cat. My house nearer & have land to buried dead cat but I want to do it properly because my neighbours cats roam at my land. My cats are 100% house cat. I have posted this everywhere yesterday because I want to settle it yesterday. Even FB groub that talk about parvo also don't reply. Only you reply. Local people also know how to treat parvo, even know which grass to use but when asked how to care the dead cat, all said just throw in the bin or buried. Lol no wonder lots of cat get parvo.

BTW, is it normal for vet just do physical checkup & said "I think parvo virus", give you antibiotics (for 120 ringgit) & send you home? They don't test? This is what happen to my friend.

This happens once with my cat. The vet just did physical check & said maybe sporo. Even though I said this cat was 100% house cat. Take out very fancy syringe, I think it is glass syringe & inject it to my cat. Brought him home. A couple hours later he dead with blood coming out from the anus.

based on search online,
any object/material tht's been in contact with the cat needs to be disinfected/cleaned
Bleach can kill the virus, easy n cheap stuff.
for the carcass, as long as nothing /animal can touch it, chances off the virus spreadin is can say zero la, thts y need to bury deep, so nothing can korek it out. virus wont crawl out of the ground.. lol..

cremation, is burnin the flesh into ashes.. tht u need bahan api like wood to continuosly burn it, so abit leceh..

With raining season, I believe that can happen.

Unfortunately the sanitizer gun not effective for parvo. I was curious because he already have that sanitizer gun. He regularly sanitize his premise. I will tell him to use bleach but I doubt he would listen to me.

Basically bought my kitten to a vet (rescued from outdoors) and he was diagnosed with scabies and ringworm. Doctor applied an antifungal ointment to him and gave him medicine. He told me that this will spread to human but assured me it won’t harm me. Just wash my hands after I handled the kitten.

This was 4 days ago. The kitten lives in my room together with me but NOT on my bed. I don’t handle him that frequent but he does play a lot with my feet and bites them while I’m gaming.

So I decided to read up more information about all these ringworm infection and while majority seems to say nothing to be worried about, there are some horror stories as well. Some post suggest quarantining the cat.

My question is is quarantine necessary? How cautious do I have to be with the cat? Am I sure to get infected now and what should I do? Also, I am browsing some antifungal creams or spray for my cat and if you have good experience with any certain brand, please share. I have to add this is my first cat and I have zero experience keeping them.

you can read up about ringworm on humans.
how it is spread etc etc.
and if you think you can risk it, then carry on like present.

if you dont wana take the risk, you can put the kitten in another room or cage until it is cured frm ringworm.
