Is it worth it to invest in an automatic water fountain to replace my cat's water bowl? Just asking if it is more sanitary than a regular water bowl.

the water circulate. seldom changge , kena cat saliva, unless u change water everyday.

Side i left around 15 cm to secure it, the mesh itself is quite hard so it stay in place. But for extra precaution i nail / bend it to the wall with some ikea nail.


And i did not put the mesh all the way to the ceiling, just another 30 cm of mesh from the railing and a stick hold it in place.
At first it was only up to the railing, but caught the 2 fatty tip toeing the railing 1 night, not really mad but impressed

look a bit messy but it was rush job and last for 2 year now.

Planning to use some Telescopic Extension Pole Handle, wrap the mesh around it and fix it to the sides for more proper/tidy look

Hardware shop sell some skinny pre-cut wood that you can use to extend the grill all the way up to the top/ceiling. You can double it so that it doesn't easily break. Use cable ties to secure the wood to the grills.

If it make the cat drink more, then yes it is worth it. You do need to change the filter media when the time comes.

there is always risk , d cat will climb n fall over.

they do stoopid things, n unpredictable.

so is up to the owner to decide, n access the cat temperament.

good example is , the cat tht can hang on the shoulder of the biker owner..

how many cats can do that?? lol..

Thank you all for your inputs. I've decided to adopt a 1 year old cat =). ordered some netting for the bottom part of the rail of the balcony. for the above part.. might need to find telescopic poles later . I will not let her out to balcony until then.

fingers crossed bringing her home will be smooth.

any first time owner tips is welcome =)

This is very dangerous tho, the cat can easily fell n hit by moving cars 😣
