After using SD, I don't think I want to go back to Exynos. Especially when it comes to heat management.

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Jan 15 2021, 03:39 PM) Eh? I thought you won't buy it since you complained about the S21 in various threads including the one in kopitiam. So what changed your mind bro? Since baseline for Malaysia is 256GB for all S21Phantom black obviously striking But i made my mind when i tried Note 20 5G and Note 20 Ultra side by side One is FHD+, one is QHD Using same picture and movie Barely see any diffence Celcom plan and that bundle (buds live + wireless charger) really worth it (worth near 1k) This post has been edited by and85rew: Jan 15 2021, 07:07 PM |

QUOTE(KCY3701 @ Jan 15 2021, 11:49 AM) Price Comparison for S21 Series with Previous Generations There is some slight inaccurate info on S20 series pricing based on the conversion rate used in the table above. It should be around 4.14 during its time, lets assume we take the price starting when they officially announced the pre-order date which falls on 12 Feb 2020. If we wanna account for margin of error it will be between 4.12 to 4.14, if they did set the pricing earlier than 12 Feb 2020 (maybe 1 week before).
** USD to MYR based on XE conversion rate of 1 USD = 4.03538 MYR It would be around 4.07 for Samsung S10 series if we take the preorder date price which falls on 22 Feb 2019. ![]() KCY3701 liked this post

To those who thinks Exynos is inferior to Snapdragon: Yes, in 2020, the Exynos 990 has bad thermal issue and throttling due to the custom Mongoose core. This year, Samsung has ditched the Mongoose core and switched back to use ARM's X1 core. Thermal issue has seems to be fixed and performance is on par with Snapdragon 888. ISP on Exynos is also better than Snapdragon which results in better photo and video shooting. However, being that said, we still need to wait for real life reviews and tests to conclude whether Exynos is good or bad. All the best Exynos!

I wanted to point out that while US prices went down, Malaysia prices went up despite now having better exchange rates than before. I have just forgotten something, the US model actually comes with 12GB RAM and also 5G as the base model (if I not mistaken), while for Malaysian market we only get 8GB RAM and 4G only for the base model. So this might affect the final pricing differences as well, by how much, I have no idea. So that could also attribute to lower Malaysian RRP price. Applicable for S20 and S20+ only.I think for S20 Ultra should be same specs since both market offers 5G. Still I cannot justify the significant price increase this year for S21 series. |
