Can still get the free gifts but not as good as pre-order promotion though
Courts S21
Also the discount code valid until 3 Feb 2020. Use 8HUAT when checking out to get 8% discount.

I believe this is currently the best deal you can get right now compared to other online retailers and physical stores.

Finally had official thread for S21 biggrin.gif

Side note, Malaysia version S21 and S21+ only comes with 8GB RAM
And for those who pre order S21 and S21+, free galaxy buds live, free buds pro only for those pre order S21 Ultra

And for those who would like to pre-order, please key in "SCS21VIP" to redeem Samsung USB-C ANC headphones worth RM299 when preorder from Samsung E-store
*
I also remember seeing 8GB RAM on the livestream, but somehow Samsung Malaysia official Pre-Order page states 12GB RAM. That's why I'm confused.

QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Jan 15 2021, 01:32 AM)
Vote with your wallet.

Samsung thinks it is ok for them to remove SD card slot and a charger, yet no price cut.
*
Samsung should have learnt from Xiaomi. They gave the consumers choice to get the charger FOC if they wanted to.

is it true this phone will not come bundled with a charger?
*
Yeah, confirmed in the live stream earlier.
And they say charger will be sold separately at a "low" price. Not sure how much...

QUOTE(Punish @ Jan 15 2021, 06:19 AM)
I thought the exynos 2100 is faster than sd888 this year...i leqst thats what i heard last year....
*
They both use the same cores, but Exynos 2100 is just more overclocked. However, it may overheat easier.
Sometimes higher clock speeds only won't translate to better performance, need to rely on optimization too.

QUOTE(msacras @ Jan 15 2021, 08:52 AM)
Unlikely, both are using same ARM reference cores, and both manufactured under the same Samsung 5nm.

The main differences are the GPU and those Qualcomm exclusive features.
*
Exynos 2100 and SD 888 both use the same cores, but Exynos 2100 cores are all clocked higher.

Exynos 2100 Snapdragon 888
1 x ARM Cortex-X1 at 2.9GHz 1 x ARM Cortex-X1 at 2.84GHz
3 x ARM Cortex-A78 at 2.8GHz 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 at 2.40GHz
4 x ARM Cortex-A55 at 2.2GHz 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz

QUOTE(M4A1 @ Jan 15 2021, 10:23 AM)
Is the screen colour / pixel alot different?

I see like s21+ 338 ppi
S20+ 550ppi

So meaning 20+ screen more beautiful?

Struggling to decide should get s21+ or not

Ultra seems abit expensive
*
S20+ is 1440p, whereas S21+ is 1080p

Higher clock =/= faster

You need sufficient cooling to prevent it to throttle.

If not the thermals are not handled well, could even lead to kaboom.

Those pricing for s20 and before, do they come with massive freebies like s21 as well?

This could also be a reason for price increase

Usually Pre-order all got freebies. Do remember S21 series no charger.

during these tough times, lots of people are out of jobs, recession and phone makers still dare to price it so high. Removing all those free things from the package. Forcing people to go out and buy.
Samsung is selling the adapter for $20.
*
Maybe Samsung thinks that if you can afford RM3k, 4k, 5k for a phone, cannot $20 charger meh?

But $20 (RM80+) is still significant for Malaysian consumers, since it can fill a full tank of petrol already.

I am not defend for Samsung, the price in Malaysia is slightly more expensive is due to we are getting 256gb instead 128gb in US laugh.gif
*
Based on the comparison I did earlier, indeed the Malaysian version is more expensive than others when compared with the same 256GB specs (+$50 in the US for example)

There is some slight inaccurate info on S20 series pricing based on the conversion rate used in the table above. It should be around 4.14 during its time, lets assume we take the price starting when they officially announced the pre-order date which falls on 12 Feb 2020. If we wanna account for margin of error it will be between 4.12 to 4.14, if they did set the pricing earlier than 12 Feb 2020 (maybe 1 week before).

It would be around 4.07 for Samsung S10 series if we take the preorder date price which falls on 22 Feb 2019.

*
Those US converted prices are just to illustrate the trend of the pricing. I wanted to point out that while US prices went down, Malaysia prices went up despite now having better exchange rates than before.

if dont talk about price, for s21 and s20fe5g, which is better spec to spec
*
S20 FE 5G has a better price-performance ratio compared to the S21 series.

As for spec to spec differences, here are a few

S20 FE 5G vs S21 5G
SD 865 vs Exynos 2100
120Hz vs Adaptive 120 Hz (Better battery life)
4500mAh vs 4000mAh
Ultrasonic vs Optical fingerprint reader (Depends on personal preference)
