Mine is 1TB model, I doubt i have reached its claimed TBW (too good to be true anyway) and not even 90% full. All i know, windows entered check disk and in windows, the disk appeared intermittently. Cant even detect the diak in bios.

I read some online review like laz and other online selling , mostly still old stock base on production date batch upload review picture.Old stock but seller sell as new stock price.

The ROG Ally fully supports Gen 4 NVMe. However, I'm considering opting for a Gen 3 NVMe to save some money, based on Reddit posts that indicate the ROG Ally performs well even with Gen 3 drives.

In addition, after reviewing the hardware specifications for most Gen 3 and Gen 4 NVMe SSDs, I noticed that Gen 3 NVMe drives tend to consume less power compared to their Gen 4 counterparts. This could potentially result in longer battery life for the ROG Ally.

Moreover, Gen 3 drives typically run cooler, which means less heat transfer to the APU.

I was so caught up playing on my ROG Ally with the 2TB KC3000 that I didn’t even notice it was running at PCI-e 4.0 x1 instead of PCI-e 4.0 x4.

Turns out the 2230 to 2280 adapter was the issue. I swapped it out for a different one and finally got full speed.

Honestly, though, in gaming, I couldn’t even feel the difference between 2GB/s (16Gb/s) and 8GB/s (64Gb/s).

At peak usage, my KC3000 in the ROG Ally reaches 76°C while Steam installs games. Is this temperature safe?

Unfortunately, the M.2 connector is too low to fit any heatsink. I already bought one, but it's unusable because the 0.5mm thermal pad is still too thick, making it impossible to screw down the SSD.

To make matters worse, the 2TB KC3000 has chips on both sides, so I had to install 0.5mm thermal pads on both sides. This is why it’s impossible to screw the SSD into the M.2 connector.

how to test or check is it SSD problem? or cable can cause it?
