FYI. I’m on Astro Broadband 500Mbps for about 6 months. Location in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. Speed is decent. The only bummer is the frequent disconnect; sometimes no internet connection up to an hour, happens a few times per week. Complaint to Astro doesn’t seem to solve my situation. Can’t wait until the contract ends to port out from this.

I managed to get it working on my TP-Link AX55 router biggrin.gif. Setup same as other Unifi routers, change the VLAN to 630, and the connection is ppeo.

Tried this on my Asus router, doesn't work. I've assigned VLAN ID 630 to internet. Wonder what else is missing.

Does pppoe password from the astro fibre installer differ what you get from customer service? I ask the installer about password for pppoe but it failed to authenticate with the given password.

Then you might need to check with customer service on this...

The reason you wanna use the Asus router is because of?
And, which model of Astro Fibre router are you using? Is it white colour or black colour?

As long you configured the VLAN ID as 630, and the correct username and password, it should work.

It’s the lousy skyworth RG21. Ever since this was installed, my work laptop wifi kept getting disconnected to the point I couldn’t even hold a meeting without needing to reconnect at least 4-5 times per call. Since I had my own Asus ax82 which was working flawlessly with Unifi and had better wifi coverage there’s no reason not to use it.

You mean you've decoupled your Astro & Broadband (Allo) service back in April, by terminating Astro TV service but maintain Allo Internet service, correct?

And now you want to terminate Allo Internet service, is it? If yes, then you'll need to contact Allo customer service instead.

No I terminate both astro and allo. But allo still active. I already call allo they say I have to contact astro. Then I contact astro they say already terminate. Ask me not to worry they won't bill me.
