Yup, agreed.
With so high demand on current gen consoles, there really is no pressure for Sony or Microsoft to come up with the next gen.

Even the mid cycle refresh won’t be so soon.
With the PS4-Ps4pro it was 3 years. With the PS5… maybe 4-5 years I believe.

Yup. Elden ring isn’t too difficult.
Die a lot in the beginning… but it gets much better in mid game.

Especially for elden ring, if somethings too hard, can always head somewhere else, grind and try again.

Earlier From software games like last raven is harder.

I am very vary of FF strangers of paradise too.
Doesn’t seem like a good game. Horrible graphics, boring gameplay. Given square Enix track record, I won’t be surprised to see additional monetization via battle pass in a full price game too.

Was really disappointed by chocobo GP that my expectations for this game is really low.

It’s a very common issue.
Same issue happened to me.
Even tried to spray a cleaner in it.

Helped for a couple of hours before the issue reappears.
To claim warranty, you need the box coz of the serial number there. A receipt is needed too.
Mine was spoilt 1 week before warranty expires, but due to schedule I wasn’t able to get it returned on time.
Now I’m just accepting the fact that dualsense are consumables you need to replace once a year.

I’ve a black and blue dual sense as well.

Hence the Disney + subscription in Malaysia is very different from Disney + subscription outside Malaysia.

Even if you change your region and download the Disney + app from there, you might not be able to login.

Hmmm. This is arguable esp with Microsoft recent spending spree.

But Xbox first party games can be played on PC.
So they’re not true platform exclusive if you’ve a PC.

PS has an extremely long timed exclusive.
Not months but several years.
I’m a very patient person when it comes to playing games I like. But waiting 2-3 years can be too long for certain games.

With Microsoft, their exclusives are usually released around the same time on both console and pc.

They “plan” for horizon forbidden west to hit PC in September this year.
But I’ll believe it when I see it.

There seems to be more account bans then console bans.
I believe account bans are due to wide spread game sharing.

Console bans are those who jailbreak their PS. Mainly for PS4.

Feels like there are more ps5 in the market.
Several of my friends have received theirs at retail pricing recently.

I've 2 friends who got a PS5 only via the "PWP" bundle.
But in this case it was a bundle by Sony themselves.

The PS5 with Horizon Forbidden West bundle lol.
At least you get a nicer PS5 box and it's not something as useless as third party coolers for the PS5.

PSVR2 was announced.
Kinda disappointed though, thought it’ll be completely wireless.

Guess I’ll wait for the next version.

Given the tech limitation, I understand this is the best they can do for this generation. So I’m going to be skipping VR for this generation.

Personally for me, VR needs to meet a certain QOL for me to accept it. Otherwise it’s just going to be a vomit inducing experience which I’ll use less than a few times a year.

Wireless is quite an important requirement as it
1. Wires breaks immersion as I can feel the wire.
2. generally cumbersome to store.
3. Might trip over it
4. Limits the distance I can move around.

Resolution wise, it’s not bad for this generation.
But I was hoping for 4k x 4k per eye at 120-240hz.

As for weight.
It’s not really stated yet. But a <250g headset would be really appreciated.

I know all these are unlikely to happen during this console generation. So I’ll just wait for PSVR3 on the PS6 lol.

This is just pure greed.
Their excuse is likely cost increase and currency depreciation.

But they increased price even for countries who did not depreciated against USD and esp JPY.

Cost of resources has gone up, but production cost has also dropped especially with the recent revision with a smaller (but more efficient design) heatsink too.

We don’t see prices of phones or other gaming consoles going up after release. This is purely Sony’s greed to just charge more because they know many consumers will still pay more.

That’s for the iPhone 14 / pro / max though.
They won’t be raising iPhone 13 series prices now lol.

I completely understand if Sony announce the ps5 pro and it’s more expensive than expected.
But to raise ps5 prices mid cycle is unprecedented.
