It's aluminium and comes with a thermal pad. I suppose the whole enclosure will act as a heatsink if it contacts with the SSD nicely. Gen3 should run less hot than Gen4 right? If so, I'm just gonna get a Gen3 NVME. Gen4 is like double the price anyway.
