Depends on your budget, if you can afford fancier cases then go for the likes Twelve South, UAG etc. But if you’re on the shoestring then any RM20-30 cases on Shopee or Lazada would do.

Same goes to the USB hub - Ugreen does the job as great as the rest, depends on your need whether u just want the USB, HDMI or VGA or what else.

So many forumers are actually upgrading from older generation of MBA, which are still working fine. Just curious that what did you all do to your old MBA? Anywhere in klang valley that accepts trade in?

Basically the moment M1 reviews are out, Intel MBAs hold no value. Hence ppl are upgrading. It’s a natural course.

I believe everyone has a limit of tolerance for old device regardless how old it is. And of course my use have money to buy. For some ppl, can tolerate a 20 years old car even though have budget to buy a new car. But some ppl can't tolerate and change when budget allows. However if can't tolerate and no budget then still can't do anything.

M1 could be the trigger point as apple fans Should have budget to change a new one. 😂😂😂

Well I am upgrading from a 2011 MBA with a cracked screen haha. Doubt I can find anyone who would want to take that

I bought a baseus dock that occupies both the USB-C but gives me PD. do kinda regret because the HDMI is at 30Hz. you can get Ugreen instead, cheaper.

Im planning to get the MBA. But i am thinking is it enough storage. Is there a 3rd party to increase ram and storage? and any effect on warranty? Any recommendation?

there are plenty of external ssd out there if your storage not enough and dont have budget at the moment to upgrade...
no 3rd party.. the ram are in the chip for M1.. and storage are soldered on board..

And cloud does off sometimes, but it's rare to happen. Take a look at google last week.
Just do regularly backup will do.

256GB are always enough use for average.
Try to managing or organizing your files. Dont store hollywood movies or dramas.

Anyone got a problem with their safari.
I've been using zoom in safari to listen to lecture and video. Few times my video suddenly stop and its said "this page is reloaded because its using significant memory."

my MBA also 2011 still working perfectly fine. Just bought a new wifi6 mesh router for my new house so now heart itchy wanna change to M1 MBA that is compatible wit it as well. One of my concerns now is that I need to monitor KLSE stock market, which required Internet Explorer so im still holding my horses.
