I didnt preorder earlier since i havent decided which model i would go for, but after watching the review, i'm going for pro max. I went to senheng today, just asking if i preorder now, when the earliest i can get my phone for pro max, cos from i read from here, you can only get pro max after 18th, but the SP told me, that i can get my pro max by 13th, the launching date.

paid my deposit, and we'll see this Friday if it is true i can get it as what he said.i go for pacific blue 128gb pro max.

Hi can I know which senheng store is this as I plan to walk in and buy cause need to trade in my old phone 😁

Got chance to hold 12 pro max packaging/box from xxxq. I noticed got printed xxxMY/A.. Seems like demo set still MY? But they confirmed ZP for upcoming stock. Wondering if stock already arrived at their store. πŸ€”

Im curious, if you dun mind sharing, what prompted you to switch from android to ios?

Used to be a hardcore Sammy boy. Bought nothing but their flagships since the S4 I think.
Currently using a note 10, which arguably has a ton of issue, especially with how they cheat SEA customers with exynos chips.

I guess I can consider myself to be a android power user, I've spent countless of hours rooting, customising (eg substratum) installing custom roms etc, but I've grown to dislike it. Maybe I've grown tired of it? I really like a vanilla experience, and I feel like ios is the best when it comes to it.

I think the one that made me want to switch was when I got loaned an iPhone 7. It blew me away, on paper it had terrible battery life and miniscule amount of ram etc. But it was fluid. No hiccups, battery life was decent too. Mind you we're talking about a 4 year old phone. If this was an android phone (Sammy) it'll shit itself by now. The support was decent too. If I'm not mistaken it recently just received its last update? A two year old Sammy flagship didn't even get one lol.

Another thing is that, so far. I'm getting bad experiences with android. Terrible memory management is still a thing and I don't know why. It's so infuriating to see these manufacturers chase 10-12gb ram on their phones when the os itself can't even utilise it properly.

Currently on my note 10. I'm getting terrible battery life, the phone freezes from time to time. It's especially glaring when I'm on chrome.

But it's not to say I'm going to ditch android. I'll still keep it as a 'productivity' phone since I think a lot of things when it comes to productivity, android does it right, although a bit beta ish and buggy lol.

Lastly it's because everyone in my circle is on apple haha, it's so goddamn annoying when they're all on Imessage and when they offer you to airdrop and you just can't.

( why don't I just use a different android device aside from Samsung? Well Samsung arguably is the only premium android brand so far, and one UI is the best skin amongst the rest.)

Edit : another reason why is because optimisation on android phones are abysmal. Probably since there's so many devices out there.

1) It really depends on how you use it and sometimes there's also an element of luck. But in general, Apple products are long lasting. I have two Apple products that are more than five years old (an iPhone 6S and a MacBook Air), so yes, it is possible.

2) Honestly, there's nothing so great about it except if you use multiple Apple products and you have close family and friends who do too, then you'll appreciate the seamless integration of all the products.

3) Don't use Spotify or Apple Music yet so can't comment on this point.

4) Yes, in my personal experience, Apple's camera output produces more life-like colours but it could be a matter of personal preferences - some people appreciate the livelier and more vivid colours from Samsung or Huawei cameras.

5) Don't see how one backup can be better than the other. In terms of ease and speed? I think it's more or less comparable although I have to admit I don't use Google Drive as much.

6) This will be based on your usage, if you're a heavy user then the bigger the battery size, the better. Unfortunately for the 12 series, Apple has reduced the battery sizes across all models vs the 11 series, so moderate usage might be able to get you through a day, but it's not going to match the Android phones with 4500mAh batteries or larger.

Need to manage your expectations bro, or you might end up disappointed and swear never to touch an iPhone ever again laugh.gif

Google Phone user here. Pixel is a really nice phone till today. However, there will be no more security updates end of this year. One thing I look forward to iOS I guess its the app experience in iOS.

Google Pixel is really great but to get in Malaysia is a pain in the a** and it supposes to be a mid-range phone but when it converts to here it becomes a premium phone instead.

Yeah , that too.

I think ill be selling the 12 if 13 gets a 120hz display .

But this question also comes up to mind . Wouldn't the 12 pro retain more value than the 12 ?

I'm seeing people sell their used 11 for cheap while used 11 pro still fetch quite a price. Senheng is still selling the 11 pro for 4399 yo  icon_rolleyes.gif

Thats simply because iPhone 11 and 11 Pro is 2 diff product class
The OLED itself cost a lot
But 12 and 12 Pro - for me the hardest part is to let go the 6GB ram but usually not gonna open 15 apps & 25 tabs in safari while taking videos so...
Again everyone has different usage, preference

It's hilarious how resellers pump the shit out of the pixel prices, I think my most fav pixel phone would be the 6p. But as you said, they don't really sell it here.

I really worry about the warranty since 80% of my devices all claimed their own respective warranties lol. I reckon trying to claim the warranty on a pixel device can be quite an endeavour.

I don't think the 6gb ram would cause much of a difference since ios is so goddamned good in managing ram. The 11 pro after all did come with a 4gb ram, and so far I haven't seen anyone complaining about the lack of ram. smile.gif

1+ and xiaomi both make great killer devices, but it's not what I'm looking for hehe.

In a dilemma between the 12 and 12 Pro. FOMO the 3rd eye brows.gif

It'll also take 2-4 weeks for the pro while the 12 takes a reasonable week to arrive.

Surprised that i still saw a number of peoples in my company using iPhone 6 & 7, that really made me doubt whether it's true that the phone really can last that long. The only issue they have right now is that Apple no longer support iPhone 6 or older phone, so they also planning to change. cool2.gif None of my android phone can last that long, started to lag after 3 years
