If you want a 3rd eye aka camera, Pro is the way to go.
If you don't, 12 is better.
FYI, I feel that Pro Max is the better option when it comes to camera. Pro is for those who wants the features 3rd lens of pro max minus the size.
And if I were you, I'd skip airpods or airpods pro. Old school earphones with cables are still better

Is the telephoto to die for ? I've never tried apples telephoto yet ? But I do notice that I kind of use a lot of the 2x telephoto zoom on my note 10.
Wont the regular 12 come with a 2x zoom too ? I dont mind losing the portrait 'blur' thing.
Yeah , ill probably just reuse my buds then

since you cant find anything that 12 pro have is needed for you, then 12 is enough already
the main different is camera lidar and ram
Yeah , i think the 12 would be fine . Its probably just FOMO with the 3rd eye

I believe, it's really up to your budget. Lidar scanner is really something up to personal preference. You can live without it. You do get better build quality. But after you slap a case on you can't see the difference (Unless you using clear case). After i saw the review on the battery on iPhone 12 Pro, i straight jump to the pro max.. it's Rm400 more from Pro but you get better value than the Rm800 you paid from standard to Pro.
I'm also like you trying out Apple Ecosystem, i think airpod and apple watch i can wait for later time. I do have my Jabra Elite and the spare Oneplus wireless bullets i got it free from 7Pro. not needed another wireless earphone.
Pro max is probably too expensive and big for me , i'd feel comfortable spending below 5k incl accesories. Yeah , i should probably stave off from buying an apple watch and airpod for the mean time. Its just that im spoiled with my galaxy buds lol . Im still keeping the current phone as a place to keep stuff and watch shows.
Also the current reviews is kind of worrying , on how the battery doesnt last and how the 12 pro throttles on heavy loads. Is it something i should worry ? I dont bother playing any mobile games but i am a power user.
