Used to be a hardcore Sammy boy. Bought nothing but their flagships since the S4 I think.
Currently using a note 10, which arguably has a ton of issue, especially with how they cheat SEA customers with exynos chips.

I guess I can consider myself to be a android power user, I've spent countless of hours rooting, customising (eg substratum) installing custom roms etc, but I've grown to dislike it. Maybe I've grown tired of it? I really like a vanilla experience, and I feel like ios is the best when it comes to it.

I think the one that made me want to switch was when I got loaned an iPhone 7. It blew me away,  on paper it had terrible battery life and miniscule amount of ram etc. But it was fluid. No hiccups, battery life was decent too. Mind you we're talking about a 4 year old phone. If this was an android phone (Sammy) it'll shit itself by now. The support was decent too. If I'm not mistaken it recently just received its last update? A two year old Sammy flagship didn't even get one lol.

Another thing is that, so far. I'm getting bad experiences with android. Terrible memory management is still a thing and I don't know why. It's so infuriating to see these manufacturers chase 10-12gb ram on their phones when the os itself can't even utilise it properly.

Currently on my note 10. I'm getting terrible battery life, the phone freezes from time to time. It's especially glaring when I'm on chrome.

But it's not to say I'm going to ditch android. I'll still keep it as a 'productivity' phone since I think a lot of things when it comes to productivity, android does it right, although a bit beta ish and buggy lol.

Lastly it's because everyone in my circle is on apple haha, it's so goddamn annoying when they're all on Imessage and when they offer you to airdrop and you just can't.

( why don't I just use a different android device aside from Samsung? Well Samsung arguably is the only premium android brand so far, and one UI is the best skin amongst the rest.)
Edit : another reason why is because optimisation on android phones are abysmal. Probably since there's so many devices out there.

A friend of mine posted this article on FB and shared the author's viewpoint that Malaysians are still spending money on "insanely expensive" iPhones despite the tough economy. I told him off privately - Not everyone is affected the same way by the pandemic, some businesses are booming, some are making more money now than compared to before the pandemic, hahaha. Point being as long as you know what you can afford and you spend within your means, then you should be fine.

Apple one will include all the item u shown. For apple one 19.90 is no sharing . And 39.9 allow family sharing on all the item in apple one like music, icloud , apple tv.

If u subscribe icloud drive only, u will also have the option for family sharing Which is 11.90

And btw the 200GB is total 200GB Sharing between family member not each 200Gb

icloud backup for whatsapp is complete whatsapp backup of whole app
icloud first page whatsapp is enabled for your whatsapp to upload chat history, if you disabled this, inside whatsapp you cannot backup chat history to icloud

if you turn on icloud backup for whatsapp, the chat history backup inside whatsapp to icloud (can serve as additional backup)

to me, i use chat history backup inside whatsapp only, the reason is... icloud backup for whatsapp uses more spaces

but is good to leave both on if you want to be safe
usually when I change new iPhone i will start phone as fresh, so icloud backup for whatsapp is useless to me, the chat history backup inside whatsapp is useful for me to start as new device when i redownload whatsapp and relogin whatsapp i can restore the chat history that backup to icloud

just bear in mind those appear in icloud first page is data can be sync/restore without rely on icloud backup.
for example if you enabled Message in icloud first page, if you sign in your icloud to another phone, your message will be sync to that phone since you enabled in icloud first page
similarly for the Contact you enabled in icloud first page, sync across devices

it it sync automatically, almost instant, when you upload a file to iCloud Drive from PC, your phone should immediately get it, you can tap and download
in iCloud first page on your iPhone, did you enabled iCloud Drive (same page where you enabled Whatsapp)
or
inside Files App, you can select iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, if you uploaded from computer to iCloud, in your phone you need choose iClcoud Drive, and then from there you can move it to your phone.
