Yes, the bank actually already gave my FIL a letter before I attempted the online eGumis application. The bank even filled up the UMA-7 form for him. I guess they can see my FIL is not the online type. The letter stated that the bank transferred the money to WTD with all details.

Chipping in my experience, it took around a month before i got my unclaimed buckeroos from start to finish. I got food money for the month now, thanks OP.

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is currently attempting to contact members aged 100 years and above who have not yet withdrawn all their EPF savings. Members or beneficiaries can check the remaining unclaimed balance using the identification card number or EPF membership number.


If the member or their beneficiaries does not submit a withdrawal application on the remaining unclaimed balance by 31 December 2023, the balance will be transferred to the Unclaimed Money Management Division, Accountant General Department of Malaysia (BWTD). Any claim made after the transfer must be submitted to BWTD.

WTA, Those unclaimed money is under my parent's old IC, they can still verify it through their new IC number, if i submit only new IC copy?

I uploaded necessary documents and submitted through egumis website and received email below, not same as described by TS, perhaps they have adopted new method, no more email UMA & doc again.

I get this error msg when i click 'seterusnya' after chose the unclaimed money. One of the unclaimed money is joint acc, anyone knows what to do as the 2nd person is deceased.

Edit: Submitted successfully! If you have unclaimed money of joint account, apply separately from other unclaimed money of individual account

i got 2 unclaimed moneys and one of the unclaimed requires bank draft statement which i don’t have already. i wanted to “Drop” that but got error. so i decided to delete my application, hoping to do the whole process again the next day (since exceeded 2 searches on that day)

so now on the following day, i was trying to claim one of the moneys but they didnt allow me to select now. anyone faced this issue?

That's how I did it initially also, submitting from 2 eGumis account. Seems this is the wrong way.

I was doing for joint FD account, about RM65k, for my FIL & MIL. Apparently the right way to do it is to submit using only one eGumis account which is I how I did it successfully in the end.

Macam ini:
1. I submitted using my FIL's eGumis account. Just one submission from one eGumis account.
2. Empunya just one, my FIL, even though it's joint account.
3. Penerima 2, FIL & MIL, since both are still alive.
4. The amount split evenly between the 2 penerima.

In your case, penerima should be one with 100% amount since your Grandma has passed away.

I had other complications. The IDs associated with the monies were screwed up. It was correct for my FIL, his IC no. For my MIL, somehow it was entered into eGumis wrongly. It wasn't her IC no. but the last 8 digits of the FD account no. Because of this we had to go to Putrajaya to sort it out.

Actually after the application was approved and my FIL had received his share of the money, there was another complication. My MIL didn't get hers because there was an extra leading zero in her bank account number in the payment instruction. I'm quite sure I didn't put the extra zero in the application. Moreover we submitted the required photocopy of her bank book which had the correct account number. LOL, had to go Putrajaya a 2nd time.

Guys, when logged in to the eGumis account, I cannot seem to "tick" the box to select a particular unclaimed money line item.

It seems like clicking is disabled. How come?

In the past, never had issues.

I am helping my family member claim and it is a brand new account. IC and name of the account matches their IC and name for all the unclaimed money line items.
