Yeah, picture of your ic and bank statement. Make sure you upload in pdf format.

You need to upload
1) Copy of your IC front and back in one file and
2) Copy of your bank statement with your name and a/c number for refund of your unclaimed money.
If upload successfully, the files will be shown as below in the File column ( or Fail in Bahasa)

Unfortunately the big one, around RM65000, is problematic. It's a joint FD but the ID, as seen in eGumis, for one of the beneficiaries is wrong. It's not IC, old IC, birth cert nor citizenship certificate. No idea what it is.

Got a couple of applications, the status stuck at "New" from 26/7 until now.

Did the claim for my mom, whole process took more than a month for a sum total of nearly rm3k.

Received the money today. From "New" to "Complete" takes 54 days.

Hello peeps, just a heads up, egumis claim is now open for new registration again. Fast2 make claim before it goes down again.

Was just on the phone with the WTD people...

Apparently if you want to claim bank draft money, you need to at least go to the listed bank and ask for confirmation letter (I think you just tell them it's for WTD, they should know how to proceed?).

You can upload that same letter for all 3 requested documents in the top Empunya section, but you gotta change the file name for each upload to get around the old bank draft nonsense (cos who still has copies of old bank drafts lying around?). You also gotta mail them the original letter, it seems (but make a copy for your keeping).

My dad has one of these, but knowing him, can't push him to pursue (also not that much), so I'm passing this info on here.

Yesterday went to the WTD office in Putrajaya to sort the mess that is my FIL/MIL unclaimed FD. Couldn't do it online at eGumis because somehow, somebody entered the last 10 digits of the FD cert number in place of the identity number for my FIL. So if search by FIL IC, cannot find. Lucky it was joint account. When search with MIL IC, can see the WTD as well as the wrongly entered ID for FIL.

Good news is that their office which is in the Bendahara 2 building is quite close to the public car park. Also not many people. Things went smooth and we were out of there in 20mins.

Also if going there to do, make sure you have photocopy of everything especially IC and bank statement/passbook.

walk-in there will get cash money or have to provide bank account number so that they will transfer later?

Thank you for sharing. Do you need to get the confirmation letter from the bank regarding the joint name account?

Walk in is for those deceased claim. Must prepare all the documents and bank account statement according to the website. Won't get cash ya

If still alive just claim online, no need so many trouble.

Have to wait for bank transfer. Probably the same amount of time. Don't think it'll be any faster.
