Guys, a Question on the battery life before I join the fun

Heard many stuff abt it, esp it being very short lasting (~a day).

Is there a fix so far? Or does turning off everything (3G,Wifi) works? And if so, how much more can the battery life be extended to?

the only thing u can do is to do a hard reset.then reinstall all the applications.dun restore it from ur backup file.then see if it still hangs.if it still does...then i suggest u send it to workshop lo

It happened to my phone a few times.. I've to restart my phone so it goes back to normal..

I listen to MP3 everyday before I go to bed and I need to charge it daily.
If you don't use battery consuming apps such as camera, mp3, gps then it will prolly last for 2 days with occasional calls and smses.
Yup turning off 3G and Wifi autodetect helps...a bit

turning off those applications will definitely help to reduce battery consumption.the thing is....we bought the phone for its function.so battery is definitely an issue to ponder upon.

ah...my phone randomly restarts sometimes when i receive sms ... ar =.=

to be honest, that's expensive for only phone, batt, charger & 1GB microsd.

well, my hp restarts out of no reason. it freaks me out because it happened at night

it seem like ur phone detect signal telling it to reduce volume.. just like the controller come with the phone.. when u press decrease volume, it will be like what u are facing...



not common.. don't always detect the memory card from ur phone.. things ok.. just leave it be...

Funny, I listen to songs every night when i study, play the games in the phone, sms, go on9 using wifi, occationally play around with the camera and it STILL will last me at LEAST 2 days...even if your counting hours, it will last more than 24 hours.

my phone cant... woke up, go to work listen to MP3 for 30 minutes, occasionally receive calls and sms, listen to MP3 sumore... till nite left 2 bars only...

btw, do u think reinstall the firmware might solve my problem??

Maybe u try it but don't mind asking beside the normal software in the phone have u others software installed in the phone ??? If got, please remove it.

I think its better to judge the battery consumption after few rounds of charge and discharge cycles. Usually it'll take a few rounds before the battery pack performs the best. When I got my phone, it took about 1 day before the battery runs dry. Maybe also because that was the time we explore our new phones so a lot of energy is used up.

After few rounds of charge and discharge cycles things improve to a point like everybody else - 2 days with (typical) moderate use. If I'm off to an unknown location for work purposes, a lot of GPS usage would drain it till 3 bars at the end of the day.

So if you don't need to use GPS that often, keep it off. Also switch the WiFi discovery OFF. Its ON by default when I got my phone. Like any other devices, using WiFi for browsing will drain the battery very fast especially when the signal level is not optimum.

Regarding the firmware upgrading, some people recommend hard reseting the phone to factory defaults and then perform the firmware upgrading. Then re-apply your backups manually, like reinstalling the programs whatsoever.
