who-hoo! The agps is SWEET! My my, this is gd! Lests c, the galleries after shooting pic's load time is faster, And this time, you can zoom 100% compared to the usual 50% on the v11 software( maybe this was just my settings, but i was unable to zoom any further than 50% when viewing pics). I'll play around with it more and c is there any diff. I'll notify you guys if there is any difference.

Well, i am comparing this current V12 software to my old V11 software and i can c a few changes. Most have been mentioned like the fast AGPS speed. another is battery life, maybe it is just me, but it does seem to last almost an extra day. regular usage like normal, by the way...another thing is, i've notice that everytime the screen goes into sleep mode, the gallery button blinks once. If the keypad is also locked, then it blinks twice. anyone noticed this?

on a side note, do you guys think the BH-500 bluetooth headphones are gd to be used with the N95?

I listen to MP3 everyday before I go to bed and I need to charge it daily.
If you don't use battery consuming apps such as camera, mp3, gps then it will prolly last for 2 days with occasional calls and smses.
Yup turning off 3G and Wifi autodetect helps...a bit
*
Funny, I listen to songs every night when i study, play the games in the phone, sms, go on9 using wifi, occationally play around with the camera and it STILL will last me at LEAST 2 days...even if your counting hours, it will last more than 24 hours.

Hmm, that's weird and I've just updated to v12. Maybe it'll work? I don't know, lol.

Anyway, it's disappointing cos a phone of this price doesn't even have such features. If Symbian OS can't do all these, it wouldn't make a difference with the non-Symbian phones. Worse still, a Nokia 6300 has such features but our top model N95 doesn't sad.gif
*
Well, comparing symbian and non symbian phones, you should c the bright side of symbian type phones. Like the ability to install more applications. Will this little calendar problem make you become this dissapointed in a symbian phone?

I do agree that you are indeed childish and worse still, not even able to understand my point. I am sharing my thoughts and clearly written there as "my 2 cents". You don't have to agree with what I say and you can move on. On the other hand, I'm not even interested on whether you like what I am saying and vice versa, you can choose not to listen to mine and move on.

Bear in mind this is a forum and everyone can posts whatever they want. Stop whining and as I say if you don't like what people is saying, move on. Putting all these worthless reply just doesn't get you anywhere, doesn't show you are any better but a typical Malaysian forummer that can't and not able to discuss things positively and openly smile.gif

On the other hand, I couldn't care less whatever you posted because it totally doesn't make any sense. If you're not interested to help or provide a work around, you might as well keep quiet cool.gif

I'm not looking for a PDA and installing all these games, apps, etc on a phone is NOT what I want to do. There's no point to it and I've also specifically mention PDA is not what I need. If you understand where I'm coming from, the 6300 which is a cheaper model offers more customization and why not the RM2K+ N95? I'm not saying this phone is not good but if you've used the 7610, it's no difference except better speed, response and interface. The rest is almost the same.
*
ooh...the irony. The only thing i see you complaining about is the calendars. For a problem as tiny as that, is it really worth all yr time whining? If installing games, apps, etc is not what you want, why did you buy it in the first case? to show off? To try something thats 'in'? I understand that you can write anything you like in a forum but c'mon, writing to complain bout the same thing repeatedly is whining. How old are you anyway?

OFFTOPIC

Whether the problem is tiny or not, that isn't the point. Whether I want to buy or not, it's none of your business as well smile.gif First of all, you have to stay focus on the topic of discussion. You are diverting to things like, am I buying to show off, etc which doesn't help at all.

This is a forum and everyone can post whatever they want as long as it's within the rules. For me to put my complain here, even it is the smallest thing or issue in the world, may I ask if it is against the board rules? Is it against the Malaysian constitution? smile.gif Most importantly, WHO ARE YOU TO STOP ME?

I am old enough to take things constructively and positively. If people come out with complains, I evaluate and see the truth of it and choose to either get back with something meaningful or shut up. People like you (probably uneducated or trying to be smart Malaysian forummer) are the ones that lower down the quality of forum posts. I can complain about my BMW or anything under the sun and I don't see anything wrong with it.

Lastly, this is a public place and if you don't like something, you can either keep quiet or get lost smile.gif Contribute to the Malaysian society by proving you are a logical and rational to help achieve our PM's vision 2020. The reason why developed countries are there is because they don't have so many people like you in their country. If you can act like that in a forum, I don't know what happens if you see something you dislike on the street shakehead.gif

It doesn't matter whether my posts is negative or positive. How many times would your mum complain when the taxi driver overcharge her by 50 cents? How many people complain when the Income Tax doesn't refund RM30 of theirs? smile.gif Look, there's nothing wrong about complaining.

You are right that you're entitle to share your opinions but what went wrong is that you are directly being personal to someone. I see many stupid posts around but I don't go do what you do.

I'm being as calm as ever. To me, things are very simple - people respect me, I respect them smile.gif

Firstly, you are deliberately demonstrating how shallow minded and conservative you are. As I've mentioned, I'm commenting on what I feel about the phone. I'm being honest that this phone isn't that great after all. I did not say it is not a good phone (since I notice you don't understand English well enough).

What Nokia would like are people like you, praising their product just because you have one smile.gif Don't just feel offended because you own a N95 and I think it's not a superb phone. If someone says CK shirts are lousy and you happen to have one, you tend to shoot them down? smile.gif Come on, get a life. Learn how to be more rational and accept other people's opinions.

Added on September 10, 2007, 2:18 am

No worries smile.gif You can see people complain/whine about Proton millions of times so for those two kids, maybe they should do something or start telling Malaysians not to complain.

Observe the italics and bolds. Real ironic, don't you all think? I've never seen this many insults in one post. YR CALM? wow, HUGE WORDS, red and plenty of insults. real calm....You do realize your words are hurting. Either way, never mind, i have a big heart, i'll forgive you. So lets end this and move on.

If I'm not mistaken, for Google Maps, you must have your internet (wifi, 3G etc).
Nokia maps don't need it unless you want to update or use AGPS etc...
*
In that case, what maps do you suggest is the best at the moment? User-friendly obviously. Cause it REALLY gets on my nerves everytime nokia maps gives me ZERO results almost evertime i search for something. I type in the keywords, then it almost immediately gives me zero results. Its like its too lazy to even search for anything!

If Searching For A Location Or Road Is Very Important For You, Then You Should Try Asia Maps.. It's Very Hardworking To Search...  laugh.gif  But The Navigation Part Is Not That Nice Compared To Nokia Maps And MapKing... For MapKing With Malaysia Maps, Don't Know Why It Cannot Search Road Names.. POIs Is Fine Though...
*
Haha, Asia Maps...I usually use it, but the fact is, it is now expired. I heard of a trick to get it back. What is it again? I need to use the maps in Hong Kong, not Malaysia.

yea... was using w900i  cool.gif

I was kinda dissappointed when N95 music can't win over my love for w900i  cry.gif
The hissing sound is the spoiler for my N95... if not it will be the best phone i've ever had
*
QUOTE(Wolf516 @ Nov 7 2007, 10:44 PM)
The hissing sound is something like a radio waves that you can hear
For example , turning on your Pc's speaker to a high volume and try to hear it closely , there will be a very mile hissing-like sound.

It happens when i plug my earphones , E2G , Sony HPM-80 and even the nokia earphones when listening to the music.
Well, I have the same problem a few months ago. I manage to solve that problem bu using some bluetooth headphones. Thats all! no hissing sound, just clear music! Thats the way if any of you wanna get rid of that annoying hissing sound that ruins all forms of music! B ready to fish out at least 150 bucks.

Great news!!! But uh...what exactly is demand paging?

QUOTE(pigcat @ Nov 21 2007, 10:35 PM)
i've been to pavilion today, and visited the nokia store. I've played around with the N95 unit, i was so suprised with the slider, when the slider in the middle position and pressed on the edge, you can press down 0.5mm further! The new 8gb version should be solid and won't move when you pressed down (at least mine does).

So you can go pavilion nokia store to have a feel on the N95 first before you commit. Since the 8gb came out i strongly recommend save more money to get the 8gb instead.

However i hope it was just the test unit being unhealthy. smile.gif
*
O.5mm huh? There is no such problem on my unit but still, 0.5mm is a barely noticeble number, no?
