QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Oct 15 2020, 08:23 PM) I am not asking if anyone selling their 11pro max. I am asking some inputs on the idea of getting an 11pro max could save me up to rm2k over the new 12pro max. Huh? Where to get the 11 Pro Max at Rm3XXX to have savings of Rm2k over the 12 Pro Max? Used set you mean? If really can get new at Rm3XXX, then worth it over the minor updates you will be getting from the 12 Pro Max.I dont think I can wait for another year for iphone 13. So ichy for the last 1 year seeing wide view camera on 11. And my back glass of Xs Max is broken too. Just need to decide either 11pro max or 12pro max. The only thing I need is the wide view camera where other features of the new 12pro does not seem so much different to me. |

QUOTE(swanlover @ Oct 15 2020, 08:08 PM) mmWave is really costly to roll out as it requires a ton of base station to be built. Not to mention the entire infrastructure stack is non-existent.There will be certain spot with mmWave just for telco to brag but widespread roll out is unlikely within the next 3 years. Our 4G is not even up to global standards like Taiwan or Korea. |

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Oct 15 2020, 08:17 PM) guys, Bro, don't get 11 pro max. You will be losing out nightmode for the ultrawide, telephoto and selfie lens plus 5G. Not now but will future proof ur phone.since 12 is coming soon to our market, I believe many user want to let go their 11 pro max. I am thinking to grab those new/used 11 pro max and it could save me about RM2k from getting 12 pro max. I dont see any much improvement on the 12 pro max. settling for 11 pro max probably a good idea and value for money. Im using Xs Max now. The only thing I miss is the wide view camera. If only it has wide view, I wouldnt consider the upgrade now. what do you think guys? |

Reality speaking, even if you ‘future proof’ your phone - you are more likely to change it again after a year or two. Technology advances. At this time of age, I don’t think ‘future proof’ works for phones anymore. But hey, newer is always better - always a reason to justify the purchase. QUOTE(moniqee @ Oct 15 2020, 08:35 PM) i mean that if you are in 12pro thread... surely ppl will say go for 12pro lar... I think you’ve made a good point. if u are in 11pro thread... ppl will say go for 11promax lar... i'm not talking about the selling phone... it's up to u in the end... and your wallet... alot of people said that 11promax and 12promax not much different except the camera (with the upgraded night mode on portrait and rear) Just get whatever suits you - trust your gut. Hi guys. Would like to ask about magsafe. As far as I know all i12 has magsafe in the phone . Means the phone will stick to a magsafe charger itself right ? Then whats the purpose for clear case with magsafe that is advertised in apple official web ? Any different between official magsafe clear case vs rm5 China made cheapo silicon clear case ?

Yes the biggest issues for telcos on 5G is the cost. Compare to the base stations needed to cover one area for 4G, the same area to be covered for 5G requires 5 to 6 times more base stations. There will be certain spot with mmWave just for telco to brag but widespread roll out is unlikely within the next 3 years. Our 4G is not even up to global standards like Taiwan or Korea. This cost will eventually be transferred to consumer for sure. not to mention, even 4G coverage and speed still suck for most telcos here. I’m probably being hypocritical about this considering I sold my iPhone 11 Pro Max for 4k, but I’d have reservations about buying a used set for that amount of money especially if the warranty has expired. |

And of course there are advance payment of RM1400 to be rebated monthly which looks fine to me. |

Actually, is there any "real saving" based on the monthly bill payment charges ? Right now we can go for RM30~40 / month cycle of phone plan * Unless those bill charges can offset with company benefit (company pay your phone bill) then yes, haha This post has been edited by TongCN: Oct 16 2020, 08:49 AM |

Then whats the purpose for clear case with magsafe that is advertised in apple official web ? Any different between official magsafe clear case vs rm5 China made cheapo silicon clear case ? MagSafe is a technology used on previous versions of the MacBooks - its a magnetic charger that can be detached with sufficient force, like all magnets do. The beauty of this was to avoid people tripping over the cables and pulling the entire MacBooks with it. https://www.apple.com/my/shop/product/MHLM3...bc32b3f4db02801 MagSafe on the iPhone is basically another charging standard that is also compatible with Qi chargers. The casing from Apple seems to have another layer of ‘magnets’ to hold the additional accessories that is also MagSafe certified ;- the add on wallet holder. Its basically an accessory for people like me who hates carrying wallets around - just snap it to the back and ready to head out. You’ll need a wireless charger that is Qi standard or MagSafe to charge it ‘wirelessly’. |
