So meaning you don't own any of the phone, you can keep changing and only got the phone after you terminate the contract with Digi? I always wanted to get a telco package, but then i didn't use half of 30Gb on internet, so end up downgrading my plan.
If you complete 24 months, the phone belongs to you. If you complete minimum 17 months or 19 months (with no outstanding payment) depends on your phone's tier, you can exchange to a new phone but need to return back your current phone in good working condition. Your contract will be restarted again when you exchange for a new phone. This is known as Digi Freedom 365 plan. Read more: https://www.digi.com.my/support/help-center...honefreedom-365

Losing money preposition for the user. But I know a lot won't mind taking this option just for a new phone.

If re-contract basically means that you're paying rental to use your previous phone. Hmm, i hope they release the review of iphone 12 pro max before 6th November so i can make the decision.
Short answer Yes it works. BUT ... All 3rd party charger and Apple own OLD charger cannot fast charge iphone 12 series . want fast charge at 20W (15W using Magsafe) then no choice but buy the Apple 20W charger for iphone 12.
I'm curious as to why they think people would risk buying from them just to save 50 or a 100 bucks. Buy from retail can use credit card, pay in installments and get the satisfaction of a procuring a brand new sealed box

Go for the Max ONLY if you are into smartphone photography and prefer large screens.

have to justify the battery size 30% because of the bigger screen.

You can get it 7 days earlier than your friends and get bragging rights? LMAO.
Remember the idiot who paid Rm8k for an IPhone 7+?

But when you recontract for new phone upgrade, do you pay for the new phone again or just 24 month telco plan without paying for phone? what does the the 'free upgrade' even mean.
I already bought my case and fast charging brick, thanks to some of the recommendationa here. Any recommendation for the screen protector from Shopee? I’m not looking for fancy type. Anything <RM50 and does the job is good enough for me.

Right you are. But what is worse, some priced the items much higher even though launch of those phones in our place is not ages away. This baffles me more.
