haha. That is why I'm not sure. just asking opinions. How are you feeling the car now? satisfied?

I thought of going for WR-V, but I realized  I need a "fast car" to commute to work daily, SUV most probably will be slower  and more body roll allthough will be missing that utility side .

civic prices are just too far off my budget for now.

If you are looking for a fast car, then stick with hanchback. I used to have gen2 but the space is terrible. As an uncle, I switched to city because want some comfort

Went overseas recently and was able to molest a 4th-gen Fit/Jazz there... brows.gif

boy that car looks so much better in real life than those pics represented, certainly way better than that disproportionately-looking City hatchback...

I'd wished HM get rid of that City hatch and bring in the Jazz instead...

4 days in Langkawi with a new almera VLP review. Owned a city spec V and just want to try a new almera while on vacation.

- Ride & handling much better. The car equipped with a new 205/55/16 continental UC7. Absorbing imperfections on the road much better. Mind you, I already changed city stock absorber with a tein endura pro plus and 185/55/16 michelin xm2+ but almera still got a better ride & handling. Fyi the stock rim size between almera & city v spec is the same. In theory, city could equipped the same tyre size as almera.

- Steering wheel feels lighter and gradually sportier on a higher speed. Easier to manoeuvre.

- Less body roll when cornering. Feels planted. Lower centre of gravity. But harder to get in and get out. 182cm guy here.

- CVT droning effect much subdued compare to city. Not a pedal to metal but still aggressive driving.

- Tyre sound entering the cabin quite annoying & loud. Different material use on the langkawi road or tyre factor? I’m not sure. Fairly a new car with a clocked mileage at 4,000km. City is much better at this point.

- Noticeable vibrations in the cabin while idling. Because of 3 pots i think.

- Average 17km/l compare to city 12km/l. Drive like a normal person. Quite impressive.

- Turbo quite handy while in the stop start junction, overtaking & climbing the hills. Not an underpowered car.

- Materials selection in the cabin is a notch down compare to city.

- City is a much spacious car and with a thoughtful design.

- With a zero gravity seat, it does feel a lil bit more comfy on the lower part of my body but I prefer overall driving seating position & feel in the city. No leather padding on the gear console and the door trim panel, just hard plastic unlike city with a soft leather padding. Knees will love you more in the city.

- Overall audio sound quality quite the same. Almera tend to focus more on the highs while city produce a lil bit better bass & mid. Already tinker with the EQ

- Same shit rear camera quality. Worse on almera.

- Need to set at 19c to feel cold unlike city usually set at 24c

- Better regulated aircond fan speed on city.

In the end, you decide which features and characteristic important to you. Fairly competitive at this price range. Happy hunting!

Seems like Honda My and some party started collecting for new City bookings now..
Does that mean the previous pre-facelift version won't be available anymore?

Hi all, I unfortunately knocked into a new Honda City. His front right fender kemek in. He has sent his car to Honda service center and received quotation of which the main items are:-

800 for replacement panel
600 (times 2) for spraying of various parts of the fender/around the fender

Would like to ask if the service center pricing is reasonable or expensive? Also whether other Honda service centers could give a better pricing?

Fender usually would be costly to repair, the price seems about right for Honda paint shop.

Suggest to proceed to claim from insurance if cost is higher than 1k+ if the other party insist to repair at honda. Else you may recommend him to your own workshop for an alternate quote.

My city was rear ended with damage to the bumper, boot cover and boot floor. Outside quoted rm1.5k to pull out the boot floor and reuse the cover. Since I am claiming the other party's insurance, i sent the car to honda to change new bumper, cover and weld in a new floor, along with a set of new brake lamps as Honda told me the bracket has cracked. Total cost to the insurance turned out to be RM6k+. Just to give you a feel how much more honda would charge.

Make sense to claim at insurance for that amount? My NCD is 55% (worth 1k in most recent renewal), burning that will cost me more in the long run right?

Sorry you are right, first year 1k+ second year 800+ third year 600+ and so on... should total around 3k then...

Have you tried to recommend him to your own workshop for an alternate quote?

For a not brand new car I would ask that, but brand new car... I feel shy also. Know the feeling.

I can hear very loud noise from the back when driving on wet roads. I suspect coming from the back wheel arches as water spray from the tires hit the wheel arch. Almost like the back windows are down or door is open. Honda says this is the design.

Any way to reduce the sound? Add insulation?
