QUOTE(LaiN87 @ Oct 26 2022, 11:45 AM)
I'm interested in this as well biggrin.gif
If it can improve the stop go traffic, acceleration / deacceleration / braking profile, lane keeping, lane keeping even when no lines by following front car it would be perfect.

I would say X50 is about 60% good at what it can do now. This should be able to cover up to 95% highway driving and stop go make it more comfortable.
Next would be if can change acceleration profile so that it's more fuel saving.

BTW, kommu is using comma 2 hardware which is already obsolete in US.
They have transitioned to comma 3 hardware so comma 2 is not getting any new features anymore.

Come come.. All go and test drive biggrin.gif
*
There is a bounty on Retropilot discord to upstream it to official openpilot.

Then don't need to buy the "special" hardware from kommu. Can just use standard openpilot hardware.

Simply said, X50 FS is more like driver assist. Hand always on the wheel. Need to do correction.
Adding like openpilot, it's more like an alternate driver. Hands doesn't need to be on the wheel, very firm on the lane. You just have to look in front and pay attention on the road like a passenger.

For X50: Lane keeping is horrible. You can't remove your hand from steering if there's bends.
Sometimes if the straight line, it is also veer left right in the lane (although in the same lane).
Sometimes too much to the left or to the right to my liking.

Braking is horrible in stop and go. Sometimes is too abrupt.

I had a scratch due to one car cut my lane from stop and go traffic.

You mentioned that the new side mirror design fixed the buffeting wind noise right?

How about the angle of the mirror? The earlier version can't tilt out enough. Half the mirror is viewing your own car body.

Ya a recall would be great but it's all about the money. whistling.gif

But anyway, at least now owners of previous version have an alternative. Can just buy the side mirror cover. ranting.gif

You have to have some weight on the wheels.
The system checks torque if the X50 easy to turn the steering.

No hand on wheel = easy to turn (low torque value)

I put my hp (put in between spoke somehow it can hold it).
And let it drive. Only during low speed or traffic jam. And wont give warning. Ur own risk ya. 🫣😂

I notice when it “lock” the front car then the lane centering works perfectly; else it will keep straying to the left lane. I read smwhere the car follow the left right white lane and the front car.

I put also something like this. Sort of a bag with weights inside.
I know my risks : ) I always pay attention on the road.

With kommu.ai, they will disable the torque check.

Should I go to showroom nearby my house, or Proton HQ showroom at HICOM or Proton EON glenmarie or any other recoomendations?

Hows the setup? In term of wiring. Is it plug and play?

Yeah. I think one connection to the OBD to get information and control the steering / brake.

Looks relatively easy.

From OBD port got USB-C cable to relay. Relay put inside ADAS camera panel. 2 wire harness in between ADAS camera connector. 1 more USB-C to the phone mounted on the windscreen.

Hi all,

Booked my X50 FS 2 months back, while waiting for the car, I am looking for certain minor upgrades.

Is there a way for Apple Carplay to work for Atlas OS? saw a few threads back, the Carlinkit will only work if certain APK is installed in HU itself. Not certain whether this is referring to the older GKUI version or Atlas.

Also, any reasonably priced plug & play DSP for recommendation?
