Any one got problems with the aircon? It's not as efficient as my other cars. Takes longer to cool down, and the thermostat setting appears inaccurate. I normally set the temperature (in the other cars) to 23°c but x50 feels very warm at that setting. And it only start feeling comfortable at 20 or lower setting.

Unfortunately, it also has a heater function (they didn't remove that from the China cars) and I wonder if that is affecting the cooling function.

Urs got sunroof?

Though mine i think ok at 23. Could be my tinted helps it alot. The experience is just like with my other car. Just that when i open sunshade will feel warm abit from above.

Heater function should not affect cooling function. If not mistaken it is totally a separate function.

Hi fellow owners, I'm torn between the upcoming Honda hrv and x50. Did brought my mum to test drive x50. But seems that she is having issues to get into the car especially the rear seats that seems the door can't be open up to 90 degrees wide and she was able to sit in the current generation of hrv. Any feedback will be great. Thanks alot

Got the DOT print plus the first 2 codes. The last code missing. Obviously omitted in my tyres.

As said before, not uncommon in China made tyres.

Executive model, no sunroof. After tinting improved, set to 21c okay. The aircon technician says the setting temperature not accurate, just set it to what's comfortable like analogue control. Ignore the temperature figure.

Normal getting this at brand new car. Manufacturers ask oem to remove the manufacturing date.

I thought the general sentiment is, don't expect too much from China products?

Then you should stop buying made in china product in the future?
unless you gonna throw out concept like apple: 'design in california made in china' is fine.

in malaysia, using illegal device or thing, user will kene the penalty not the seller. so...
I suggest you double check the tyre, if it doesnt have spec probably labeled. its illegal and no roadworthiness.

china products have improve leaps and bounds, and most of the items that you use on a daily basis are all made from china
if you still insist on believing that china made products are inferior, then why the heck are you still using things made from china. you need to get on with the times dude.

and besides, GITI tyre production plant closest to us is in indonesia, check out their company profile and their international standards on their tyres before spouting nonsense. shakehead.gif doh.gif

Long time ago, a brand new Wira with Sime Tyre had this practice, no identification of tyre manufacturing date. Iirc when had 2015 Accord with Stock Michelin PS3, it the same. Not sure if this a standard practice to remove the manufacturing date of the stock tyre.

Actually even if you found the manufacturing date not satisfying to your requirement, say 2 years, I don't think there is much you can do after u signed the paper upon car collection..

Just ask yourself if you're satisfied with the wheel performance or opt to change for a better set of tire earlier if you do not have much confident with the tire given, just make sure you actively check the tire condition from cracks and braking distance.

If you dislike the tire from start, the manufacturing date will not be able to convince you even they changed a new set for you FOC which is very unlikely.

These are not unidirectional tyres, so date prints will be on both sidewalls.

I did not say anything about liking or otherwise the tyres. Just pointing out there are no manufacture dates imprinted which surprised me, as I know Malaysia has a rules on such dates in locally manufactured tyres. On the Internet, there are similar comments in other countries that some China made tyres don't have date print.

The vast majority of people buying cars will not know or bother about tyre age.

My original post was to find out if other owners with Citic tyres have date stamp on their tyres.

Update: the spare has date...5121. For a March manufactured car, that a bit old. But it's a temporary tyre, T125/80R17, also China made.
