I think no. Especially they macam build production line fot 3 cylinder engine locally.
Some 'pro' already start rumor geely will bring in 4 cylinder x50 in.
Where they claim proton will ditch 3 cylinder, and current x50 look like idiot.

I think you will get before that, what variant you go with?
I ordered FS on last year Jan. Actually should get on May but mco after mco. I manage to get the car before merdeka.

if you parked your car with "Auto Hold" on, the next time you want to start the car, it will be hard to press the brake. it's like the brake already pressed.

lesson for me, always turn off "Auto Hold' function when parking

unlikely i think. the prevailing rumours is that the next X70 facelift will be launched this year and they will use X50's 1.5T 3 cylinders instead of continuing with the 1.8T 4 cylinders

why would proton bring 1.5T 4 cylinders when both X50 and X70 is getting 1.5T 3 cylinders

Regardless how people claim about the 4 Cyl engine is more superior,
let's just look at market in Malaysia, we don't get any engine that can outperform this 3 Cyl in term of power & NVH we have now for similar price range & segment, it's still one of the best engine we can get for now.

Not the most preferred engine in China, but definitely one of the top in Malaysia.

I have confident with the 3cly engine in x50 as geely works with volvo to design the engine. And even volvo used it minus the hybrid train.

Actually i dont mind at all 3cly or 4cly. Lol. Even a 4cly will vibrate much when mounting kong. Lol. Rough sound sound manly for me. Lol.

I dont understand the hate. A lot of car manufacturer pun ada je 3cly enjin and when perodua use 3cly engine semua senyappp. Lol. And i personally believe x50 3cly better than ativa 3cly. Haha

But if you joined x50 fb group, especially chinese community. You can see sure daily have post here and there problem, other car no such issue etc.... where die die claim proton fault without common sense applied and then few specified, and well known macha appear to enforce how bad proton is....

No wonder x50 telegram group need verify every joined member is x50 user or owner.

They need to accept reality that small displacement turbocharger engine fc is like that. It only good at certain driving

I’m not sure what’s the fuss about x50. I have been driving one since 2020 and the only issue I had was wind noise and nothing else.

These people are starting to becoming annoying so I stopped getting involved in Fb group and telegram.
Well of course FC is a trade off for awesome acceleration

Same for me. Bar the wind noise, it's a pretty great car for the price. Plus, so far FC is actually decent for me, given the performance it gives.

People just love to hate on something, I guess.
