Going for test drive tomorrow. Been considering quite a while to get it. Most probably will get white and wrap it and delete the chrome color. Flagship series the one I am interested
Advises required from x50 owners/sifus:1. What accessories are must have and nice to have? E.g.MUST HAVE
- car mat (coil mat), don't like trapo
- power boot and leg kick sensor (but I worry later void certain warranty if get from outside, any advices?)
zero5177 I install my tailgate at their center without urban/utility package, just the tailgate alone at higher price than accessories shop 2.3k, but in return I won't have my warranty disturbed.
- car wrap, probably pearl white cover and black top with other areas as black. Grey/silver chasis perhaps
-
zero5177 door guard & door handle guard
-
zero5177 boot tray
NICE TO HAVE

Shopee - Car Mount Phone Holder-
Infotainment Screen Protector2. What to do when collect car? (Besides the ones in 1st tered)» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
1. Missing toolkit, where can I get it ?
Ans : Make sure you check if toolkit bag is in your car upon new car collection, some owners reported missing toolkit bag right after they collected their car. Asked your SA !
2. Are my tyres all Continental or Giti ? I am seeing some weird chinese character label
Ans : Make sure you check all 4 of your tyres. 17 inch has all 4 Giti brand tyres; 18 inch has all Continental UC6 tyres. Some owners complained 1 tyre is the right brand while the rest of 3 tyres are all random China brand. Asked your SA !
3. My windshield/side mirror cracked
Ans : Make sure to check upon collection of new car.
4. Difficulty in closing the door without slamming it
Ans : If found out upon collection of car, asked your SA to adjust the rubber. You may have to file for a claim.
5. Tail light does not align with tailgate light/reverse light
Ans : Most common issue during first week of launch, asked your SA to adjust.
6. Warranty book, purchase invoice and service booklet are missing ?
Ans : Make sure to have everything in the car/your hand before driving your car out of Proton ! Especially the company chop on service booklet !
7. Missing spare tyre
Ans : Make sure you check for spare tyre before leaving Proton.
8. How do I get proton link ? How to make it work ?
Ans : Ask your SA to settle it for you on the spot. Otherwise it is troublesome to get support from Proton afterwards.
9. Car is jumpy while driving
Ans : New car tyre pressure is usually over 300 kpa, kindly head over to petrol station to release pressure and adjust yourself.
10. There is a gap between the plastic at passenger side seatbelt and B pillar
Ans : This is a very common issue kindly get SA to rectify for you
11. Missing side mirror cap !
Ans : Please tell me you haven’t drive X50 out of proton yet, otherwise immediately go back to then and ask them to fix it. Could be defect during assembly point, all thanks to CKD
12. Crack/chip on plastic around tweeter unit
And : Same thing if you already sign the papers and drove your car out, there is no hope in claiming warranty or fix for free
- Release tyre pressure to lower it to normal (most of the cars received are 290-300)

3. Other concerns- I use Spotify and Waze a lot but they have their own GKUI, how do u guys make it work for Spotify and Waze? Paiseh I noob
zero5177 Waze you can use QDLink some sort of screen mirroring, and if its Android u can use the touchscreen to operate
zero5177 Spotify need to bluetooth audio and play in phone
pizzaboyj https://github.com/weljoan/qdlink-androidLaiN87 It’s basically your phone is running the Android Auto. It’s just mirroring to your car screen.
- I was driving 2010 Vios, too many damn buttons for new cars. Using just manual given enough? Or got any online link/youtubes for guides. A lot jargons I don't get or know how it works.
- Sunroof will leak water?
zero5177 My sunroof so far no leak and so far in this group no report of leaking as well.
- Need infotainment screen protector?
- Do Proton package provide front and rear dashcam? Or need to go to accessory shop get their help to assemble
