looking for recommendations for a place for Tint and Dashcam around Shah Alam/Subang area, might take a trip to EA if I get it tomorrow (Sat) for other stuff.

Previously just did the cheap stuff on my old cars but now want to invest a little for the long term

I don't really see a guide from anyone here, once I get my FS I'll see if I can put together a guide, Android Auto is a big "Plus" for me if I can get it to work somehow

just had the absolute worst experience.

picked up car today, went to KL at night for a drive with the wife to enjoy the car, came home via NPE, went over a steel rod, pierced the undercarriage straight through.

lucky to be alive rn.

waited 12 months only for less than 12hrs into owning my dream car before this happens.

NPE doesn't want to claim fault, blaming us for not avoiding the rod. Didn't even get chance to install dashcam yet.
Forced to self-claim from Proton Care and with parts shortage, idk if ill even get to drive the car for the next few months probably.

Might have some sense of hope, looks like it went through the plastic undercarriage cover and barely scratched the chassis

I have made a report and dealt with Proton Care team at Glenmarie 3S today, was advised to not proceed yet until they have taken it apart and we get a better sense of the damage.

Best case is for me to replace the plastic cover at my own cost, avoid the hassle with NPE as the Insurance rep said will take ages as they like to drag things out.

Worst case is self claim insurance and lose my 55% NCD in which case I rather pay a one time replacement than rebuilding NCD from scratch 1.5k savings a year isn't worth to loose I guess

Actually I found the source a couple weeks ago already with the same exact script to sideload the apks but didn't think of LYN forum. Been slowly reversing it on my own too and managed to get a FM installed too haha, then found the GitHub and tried posting on FB, keep kena deleted.

I presume it's because admin and the seller got some agreement already la so I'm not surprised tbh. TG group redirect me to the same seller also, PH group also same so I figured there is something else going on behind the scenes already.

Anyway glad this is out, seller made 100k easily with the modded qdlink and now this lol

Some early tips:
- use nodpi
- CPU is arm64-v8a compatible so can use those files too
- several google components required for proper GPS usage, still some work needed I believe for proper AA/Waze support without using dongle/headunit reloaded
- EQ can try Dolby Atmos apks that don't need root
- I prefer VLC for other media playback
- plug into driver side USB
- install script deletes the folder after ES is installed so u can only run it once, after reboot still have issue u need to copy back the folder from the install zip back to the USB. This is because the HU is actively trying to run the script everytime a USB is loaded so the script will run in a loop and keep rebooting the HU.
- it's safe to run and is completely reversible

One thing to note is that AA for phone is being phased out so I'm not sure how HU Reloaded will be affected, looking at the XDA post it seems like it might not be but who knows.

You need to install HUR on the X50, connect it to your phone at least once, then turn on Wireless AA on your phone and using your phone's hotspot before using the WiFi option on HUR. That should get everything to work wirelessly.

FWIW you don't need to use ES... any File Manager that supports USB will work fine, Xiaomi/Honor/OnePlus/etc any other FM just download the Android5.0+ nodpi version, rename to ES.apk (since the script refers to ES.apk hardcoded) and it should work just fine

I don't think its worth RM350.

Considering the effort to get it all working at one go, maybe RM50 la at the most I would be willing to pay, and the fella must provide the appropriate files. Not everyone knows which version to download and how to use pm install etc so there is a minimum level of knowledge needed but its not that hard tbh if you make it a weekend project. Go mamak, connect car to their WiFi and start playing around lol

For those asking about AA on the HU, don't bother. We need GMS and a bunch of other stuff for it to work properly. And our HU is vastly underpowered too

Just run HUR and AA on your phone is way better

Saw your test branch on GitHub, I'll give it a go tomorrow but looks pretty straightforward 👍🏻 renaming the folder instead of delete is a good idea too!

If can enable adb very easy already to adjust those stuff I think

Yessss should be fairly easy to increase the bitrate via set prop

depends on the device mostly you should be able to see everything with adb shell getprop
and then setprop <property>

imo logs are fine, this is really meant for powerusers only, one wrong step and stuff can get messed up, if you make it too easy, then its too easy for people to package it up and sell on shopee anyway

Then fastboot devices with the Google platform sdk
If that works then there may be a way la... But the mtk chipset is really really old and probably no kernel sources to do any sort of custom stuff. Best bet is trying for root access and going from there
