why? you dont need it?

Yeah, exactly that. Especially when considered the type of riding I do (slow and steady XC), I don’t think I require it. I know accidents can and do happen, but that’s the risk I’ll take.

Magura brakes quite cheap if buy from German online retailers even when shipping is included. Not sure about customs duties and sales tax on importation though.
Tempted to buy their 4 pot brakes, but my skill level is still newbie, not worth upgrading brakes yet.

Hi guys.

Wanna know your thoughts for those who are experienced.

I use the external boot bike carrier. The one that we attach on/at the boot of the car, and carry the bike externally.

Now, my top tube is pretty low and the space between top tube and rear shocks is too small (full sus), my carrier clamp can't go thru.

Can I clamp my rear shocks stanchion instead? I'm afraid that I may scratch/dent the shocks stanchion...
Any of you have been doing that all these while?

Pls advise.

Don't clamp your stanchions. You will damage it.

Not yet, still familiarising with the bike and fork characteristics.
Will only start checking out next month once I have more experience with the bike so that I can appreciate any upgrade.

Yeah, I have made many "upgrades" like that before ended up not knowing for sure whether it was worth it or not. Nowadays I try to do one thing at a time so at least I can tell whether there is a difference.

Yup. Don't change for the sake of changing. Change because you know it will make a difference.
