QUOTE(SupermotoXL @ May 25 2022, 07:34 AM) Yes, i've ridden my friends Moots and Merlin titanium bikes they are indeed flex and natural to behave that way which is ideal for gravel bike, touring and casual mtb off-roading because it helps to dampen the vibration and terrain chatter = comfy ride. If i had budget i'll go for Titanium too. so titanium is for slow riderand carbon is for fast rider |

QUOTE(latte36 @ May 26 2022, 11:28 AM) im one of those lonely rider in pcp.i usually during lunch hour go there for a full xc loop. you can go alone and explore the trail slowly. in rare cases they will be snake, wild boars, or monkey in the trail. but very rarely la. no need to worry. |

QUOTE(latte36 @ May 27 2022, 06:59 PM) Haha thanks? its the only time i have to ride during the weekdays. haha. Now I am "less" afraid. But will try to do a single run there. But during lunch time? Tak insanely hot ke. but the trail is a canopy dont feel that hot anyway unless when u in open areas. usually more people will come during evening. its better you go evening coz at least you will find other rider crosses your path. |

QUOTE(latte36 @ Jun 26 2022, 08:21 PM) Finally went to pcp today to try solo ride. Took the green trail. Only managed a 25 mins ride. Pancit after that. Was not prepared for all the climbs on the green trail. Also, was slippery because it was after rain. haha congrats. theres always a first time. pcp is quite challenging for beginner. surely will pancit on the climbs. Nevertheless, more comfortable riding solo now. Will attempt again next weekend. Thanks for the encouragement. after rain will be slippery. usually ill lower the tyre psi. did you manage to get on the top? the observation hut above will reward u with a soothing view. |

QUOTE(latte36 @ Jun 27 2022, 06:24 AM) Not sure if that was the top but whilst crying up that track, it showed the moderate trail entrance. So I u turn before reaching the hut (unsure if that's the hut you meant) there is actualy sort of observatory tower (or gazebo as we call it) somewhere at the top. but i dont remember the trail marking. if you ask me trail marking i have no idea. among ourselves we just call it the "full loop" or "full xc loop". maybe other experts in here can clarify. But at that point, didn't care abt any view. Really out of gas. |

QUOTE(Vellfire93 @ Aug 2 2022, 09:06 AM) thanks for the reply polygon is a better brand. but can you get it below your 3k budget ? whats the spec?good brand with support? mostly saw polygon on fb marketplace btw i'm 190cm and 80kg, so usually recommended size is L and XL is it? if you have to choose between L and XL, choose L. smaller bike better maneuverability. if its too small you still can adjust it later with stem and seatpost without compromising the geometry too much. QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Aug 13 2022, 09:22 PM) Just stick to the main trail. is it recommended to go alone? i have many years experience in pcp.Its not that much of a technical trail, but it's a long trail. Certain sections are quite steep especially after that first corner on the trail going up to the open area ( trail to camp chemah). The trail towards chemah can be a bit tricky in the rocky climb section. Its a good place to train your stamina. |

QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Aug 27 2022, 08:13 AM) bryton 320 is good enough for me. i compared it to my old Polar HRM its quite accurate and can catch all my peak HR. maybe get a xoss or magene computer and pair it with bryton chest strap for budget. |
