QUOTE(jojo_lulu @ Jun 30 2009, 03:01 PM) My 6 years old perdana is giving me endless gear problem! huh! Perdana A/T boxes are known for not lasting very long~ and when it kaputs it is very expensive to replace even if it is a recon unit. But when you do change it invest a bit more in a transmission oil cooler should be about RM300 +/-. That would prolong the lifespan and reduce cooking the oil seals.Last saturday, auto gear refuse to change gear!! all the way in 1st & 2nd only!! |

My almost 1 year satria neo having some problem with the power window, it cant go down smoothly but rise perfectly. Oh yea, and they said its covered with 3 years warranty for it, coz they're damn sure this 'new' power window's motor wont defect.
Went to SC to complaint & order a new one and got the replacement motor on the very the next day, bravo. Didn't expect they'll bother me be this fast. LOL. |

guys..i realised that at times..while im driving my manual 1.6 wira XLi..there will be sort of a very short "pssst" or rather "pssshh" sound coming from the front left end of the car..and whenever the sound comes,at that instant my car will lose power, something like me letting go of the pedal..it rarely occurs and happens only for less then a second and i was wondering if its anything serious..

Some minor problems that I did not mention on my 5000km car service (Persona SE)
1. Radio antenna signal gets...cracky when driving at higher speeds. A little noticeable at 90kmph and gets more obvious at 110kmph. 2. The lever to open the boot has stopped working. 3. Air-conditioning doesn't work properly in the afternoon when the car is idling. If I take it to the SC like I did last time in the morning, you won't feel the heat (even at lowest fan speed, air-con on and max temperature). Major problem: disc brakes has cracked. On one or two of them, they're not very obvious. Only one disc has a slighly obvious crack. I do not know what could have caused that. SC might say it's because I splashed cold water on my tyres after they have become heated, but I only wiped my car before the cracks appeared, and took my car for a wash after the cracks have appeared. Next month I'm taking it to the SC to have them checked, IMO they should be replaced under warranty too. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On another note, I do not like this bashing of Proton. Perhaps Proton was crap in the past, but lately they have started to catch up. Reliability is still one issue that the company has yet to deal with satisfactorily, but putting aside that, and pricing issues, I feel that their current models are quite alright. I guess the bashing continues because people who have long dumped the brand still has memories of how their Proton eff'ed up their lives. Which is why I am not going to tell anyone else that my disc brakes have cracked. This post has been edited by 4ns: Jul 26 2009, 02:34 AM |

It's happens also because their average acceptance level for their cars quality is below average. To think that CPS suppose to be their top of the line engine. The truth, the engine might crack at high performance usage. 1. Radio antenna signal gets...cracky when driving at higher speeds. A little noticeable at 90kmph and gets more obvious at 110kmph. 2. I just got a Waja CPS....the feeling is great but however, i got an issue. It's regarding the air conditioning. When the air cond kicks in, there is a sound which is a bit annoying. "krr kru kru......." <----not really sure this is the right sound in words When is set the air cond fan to level 3 and above, i get a "purring" sound as well.....need some advise or feedback....Thanks alot.... |

Hi All,
Been riding on SAGA LMST since march, 2008. Below are the list of my issue: 1. Right after collect the car, (fuel cap missing, ask SA to replace a cap for me) 2. Rear cushion not properly aligned (can't lock it properly - Sent to SC, they use the black duct tape and tape it like mummies... :S) 3. Creaking sound when drive over humps 4. Air-cond vents leaking everywhere... Even when u set to forward blow (whatever it called), it still have aircond leaked from foot area, windscreen area. Told SC, they say it's normal to have a little leak. 5. Creaking sound when drive over humps returned, SC rectified the problem by reassemble the whole rear wheel including the spring. 6. Power window switch failed once every aprox 2 months. (DIY repair) As times goes by, the plastic in the switch melted. (I guess due to heat). So the connector will misplaced once a while. Have to open up the switch and align it back. Lazy to deal with SC for such trival matter and warranty has over. 7. Battery exhausted when the car left idle for only 3 days. Again SC say is normal. :S 8. Water dripping into cabin from air cond's evaporators. Flooded the cabin. Consult SC, again they say it's normal - When blast air cond in full speed, it evaporates with the hot air in the cabin. :S 9. Car electric power now unstable. When open lamp to high beam, radio will die off for a second. Lamp will become weak + radio die off for a second when engine run on low RPM. <650. So far this is the only problem I faced. Any idea on what's wrong with #8 and #9? |

QUOTE(justhao @ Aug 19 2009, 12:47 PM) I'm driving SAGA LMST, and both the power window easy up, but very hard to down. Most of this problem occur because the metal part inside the switch was "dirty" due to a layer of carbon build up in there. Just remove the console, open up the switch, and scratch the black thing away. The problem should be gone after that. Keep pressing for a long time, baru willing to down. How can I solve this problem? I changed the switch like 5 pairs dy. =( I still using the stock switch up till today (need DIY service every 2-3months), but one of the switch going to die soon. The plastic "leg" melted and it can't hold the metal in place any longer... I also don't know why it would melt |
