I have a problem with my old Wira car back home. It seem if I leave it under the hot sun for too long, it won't able to start at all. I have to like open the door, the windows and let the cool air pass through... after a few times trying then it will start. It has no problem starting during nighttime. It is a proton car problem only or what? I check the battery and it's still new. What could be the problem? Wiring perhaps?

guys some problem with the door locking mechanism

when i press the key to lock the car it doesnt engage the lock physically but it makes the locked sound, i have to press the key twice and make sure the door really locks

can i get replacement part for this?

Bought my savvy in 07 and when bought it they mentioned they will give 5 years warranty but i realized they give only 2 years. Complained to Proton I Care they say Savvy is not covered for 5 years warranty, but they still wanted all my info like Insurance letters, geran. After fax to them they say sorry not covered in the 2007 5 year warranty. Than why in the first place ask me to fax all the info to them. I believe they are bullshitting me. But anyway Savvy has serious problems with the AMT.

My old-aged Wira 1.6(A) has this problem recently. When I started my car, it's okay. When I put the transmission to R(reverse) it still can move. Problems start when I change it to D, 2 or L, where it does not move no matter how hard I press the gas pedal. It only move a tiny bit before it kinda 'cough'. Does this have something to do with my gearbox?

I sent my car to this workshop at Jalan Kilang, opposite Campbells soup factory, few days ago, because I had a minor accident at the front. Today I got back my car. Guess what? My car's petrol tank cover lid (screwed to the car body), was swapped with other car's cover...!!! How did I know? The label inside was different...and 1 nut was missing...!!! Other genuine parts have not been detected swapped or missing, yet.
Gosh...Please beware of these kinda shit workshops...

my car proton saga blm *new* (manual)....

the passenger side door damn hard to open..2 person got this same problem..dunno y...+ air cond got problem..very noisy when on the air-cond when driving..

my other fren same car as mine but when rain the antena masuk air kena the passenger handle top there all got water stain after dried..

yoyo im new here. recently i just notice something. my lubricant oil like decreasing a lot. if want to over-hall how much will it cost? will semi-over hall do the job?
this is what i feel something wrong with my car, normally rm60 i can drove around 350-400 km. but recently just only like erm 250-300 [sometimes not even rich 300].
is this happen because the piston ring is old or spoil or engine need over-hall? or the meter sot-sot 'crazy' edi?

Hi, I have a new saga bought end of last year and got some problem which i need to know the cause
1. The car (tyre i think) make sound when i turn. Is it alignment problem? The sound is squeaking sound as im using handbrake to drift
2. Sometimes when i turn the steering can hear as if paper is stuck behind it
3. Everytime I switch to reverse gear, always got crank sound.

If you have clocked over 150,000KM I would suggest at least a top overhaul. It should not cost you more than RM600.

Proton should upgrade their SC, always use damn laptop to check problem.. ..Outcome=="0" .Know your car before 'steal' other cars tech..let see what happen to Ixora...Bye2 savvy, thanks for your jerking problem.

Default is 2 years warranty, but did you buy the extended warranty? I bought my Savvy in 07 too. I paid a bit extra for the extended warranty (can't remember how much...around RM200 to RM300 i think). I have a certificate of extended warranty that cleary states 5 years or 125,000km, whichever comes first.

Do you have this certificate?

My car is experiencing kinda the same problem of one mentioned up there. In the morning when i try to start the car and engage to D, 2 or L the car doesnt move at all. It takes bout 3 to 4 mins for it to warm up then only it will start engaging into D and will go smoothly. If the car is left unused for 4 to 5 hours, same thing goes again. Any expert could advise me on whats wrong? any solution pls.

That is incorrect. I just read the warranty cert this morning. It actually covers quite a lot like:
Engine, Transmission, Electrical, and quite a number of other stuff.

So quite worth it actually. But of course lar, if you really claim then, they might have hidden T&C which we will never know...
