Hello all, I couldn't find Digi Internet Freedom reviews on lowyat yet so I thought I would like to say I applied for Digi RM90 50mbps. Been using it for nearly a month. Fire away your questions if you got any.

I can't fully review the internet since... it's all good so far? I'm waiting for some hiccups, that would be fun to write about. Oh, as for the speeds, I am getting 47ish mbps download and 26ish mpbs upload. Still miles better than Unifi's RM89 30mbps download and 10mbps upload.
*
I think people would be particularly interested on torrent speed and speedtest to various server like Singapore, Europe, and so on. You can give you review in the thread to help out.

Youtube... Some gets the box of surprise plan with unlimited youtube, if you are lucky digi will offer you the plan for just rm15.

How about changing your plan from bigbonus rm35 to cili padi rm35? For the same price, rather than getting 8gb + 2gb 1pm - 7pm, you get 6gb + 3gb internet promo plus unlimited youtube. Good only if youtube grabs majority of your data pool, if roblox consume more then...

... to avoid headache just subscribe to digi unlimited 3mbps prepaid with unlimited calls at rm35, also thru box of surprise iinm...

I wonder why your bigbonus rm35 only gets 6gb plus 1gb 1pm - 7 pm, while the digi site states a higher value as mentioned above.

Sorry for the late reply .
Just FYI: My BigBonus 35 comes with 6GB + extra 2GB free and daily 2GB .
Plus every month I get 2-3GB Loyalty data (but sadly it will be consumed first) .

Detail explanation as below:

So for now, as an effort to minimize the main data, I will have to rajin2 redeem the Free 1GB every morning. smile.gif

Actually its not the matter of me being lazy to type in the codes.
But because its plugged into my modem router.

And thats where I have to do it daily - take out the SIM card, plug it into a spare Nokia phone, dial the USSD, then take out again and put it back into the modem.

Its not like Hotlink, Yoodo, Unifi - Can redeem at the app itself.
So I hope you understand where I come from. And no, as explained earlier, my Modem does support USSD dial in. Nor Digi supports SMS redemption like Umobile. rclxub.gif

You should stop removing the sim from your router as it may ruin the slot from wear and tear

Perhaps getting another sim is better for the time being while they are still giving the free daily 1gb

If your house has strong Unifi 4g signal, this is the best choice as it only costs you sim and no monthly fee. Otherwise, yoodo is good too, sim is free for snail mail or rm2 from 99speedmart, rm3 monthly for 50sms and you get to claim free data. Both choice lets you claim data by apps

Just asking, what device did your child use for yt and roblox? Pc or mobile? If mobile, you can use the sim lock to control your child internet time, at the same time not blocking your child from using the device for other purposes except for internet, call and SMS

I found the 1.1.1.1 app by Cloudflare enables viewing YouTube to count towards the 1GB Productivity Data, just like many other VPN services.

Probably for Unlimited add-on users.

All Digi plans/add-ons (except some unlimited data packages) have no tethering restrictions.

I’m expecting the worst. I’ll just take each month at a time. I’ll switch to Postpaid if Digi cancels the Next 35. The CS told me it is on going until further notice.

have you try their speed tst ? i asked mv digi there, thy told me the speed is not high speed.

I’m using Digi Next for my house BB. No port over here. Speedtest app I get 57mbps. Fast.com I get 77mbps. I’m using it with TP-Link MR600 4G router. Which is more accurate I’m really not sure. Maybe right now less congestion in my taman. At night usually not so fast. Basically it meets my needs. So no complaints. I have been using Digi for a few years now.

Overall - I am looking , after end of March, when the Free 1GB is over, looking at possibilities how to cope without dependency on the Free 1GB.
FYI - We have total of 3 main data line in the household laugh.gif - Hotlink, Yoodo, and this Digi.
Unifi is just backup. biggrin.gif

As for now, me and my wife have discussed this over, and initiated Plan B - discipline them to reduce their addiction on the hand-phone.

The end of free daily 1gb data will be a bummer, but telco offers variety of plan in the past 12 months, and the average value is rm1 per gb so agreed, need to plan from now

When the school reopens you will see mass reduction of your child internet usage too so in the next two months you should monitor consumption, then you can adjust your child internet plan

Lets wait tomorrow for announcement, if nothing changes time to discipline your child to sleep early, almost a year without waking up early to school, if you dont practice now you are going to have a bad time tongue.gif
