I just try verify again IC with enable biometric
After that i go to setting turn off, it auto log out
And after log in back, keep begging enable biometirc all the time



Worsen that banking app, why need force biometric for telco app?

Isn’t biometric authentication better since it happens on-device instead of transmitting off-device?

My concern is that if every app collects biometrics, will our personal biometrics still be safe? Personal data leaks are common in Malaysia, and if even your biometrics are taken, it would be easy for someone to impersonate you.

Tbh if you have prepaid/postpaid with the telco your biometrics are already collected. This is just to validate that the number belongs to you. If you mean biometrics like FaceID/ Thumbprint that one is stored in your phone.

On my phone, I see that the CelcomDigi app relies on FaceID for biometric authentication. Same like other apps eg TNG eWallet, ShopeePay, Starbucks, Petron, Setel.

Am curious to understand what the concern is.

No, what i mean is why need force biometric for telco app? And somemore need press Continue everytime open app

I want to use form to ask celcomdigi about this forcing biometric, but contact use only got whatsapp and call, no old style fill up form
