Try to do at maybank branch if you apply through system they need give you gift they the system auto screen very very very tight. Initially i applied M2U also never pass i go branch 1 days settle and get card in a week.

I never realized that I got 5,000 Shopee Coins every month since I got the Shopee Card in November 2020

I tot only get 5,000 coins once card approved only

You earned when you spent it unless you didn’t not spent it.

Yes I did spent using the card. All this while, I tot no coins will be given for transaction outside Shopee

I would like to know why you opt to checkout with Amex, instead of using Amex to top-up ShopeePay, then checkout using ShopeePay to enjoy the free shipping? Please advise.

When 5% weekend CB > shipping cost, you should use M2 Amex instead of top up ShopeePay (no reward/rebate).

Those earned coins will expired within next 3 months. One day maximum can be utilized in Shopee up to RM30 or 3,000 coins only. You need to spend more now. Lol

To burn 3000 coins you need to spend >RM120 at Shopee Mall / Preferred Sellers or Shopee Digital Goods (Bill Payment, Food vouchers, Mobile reload).

Yes you are right. Actually not easy when I got nothing else to buy. Now looking at Bill payments the most.

just my curiousity,
mbb shopee card only give shopee coins if u spend in shopee using the card, and reloading into shopeepay using mbb shopee card doesnt earn anything...

so if u spend using cc, shopee normally charge on shipping fee (without the so called free shipping voucher)
and if spending using shopeepay, can opt for the so called free shipping voucher and deduct some shipping fee...

for example,
item A, RM100, shipping fee RM10
- use shopee cc, pay RM110
- use shopeepay, pay RM106 (after apply the free shipping voucher)

wouldnt anyone that opt for cash back use shopeepay instead of mbb shopee card?

or there is something i missed out about this card?

I get 1 air mile for every RM spent with Amex directly.
I get nothing by topping up ShopeePay.

I can easily use the coins to offset my Astro, Unifi Bills, Water Bills etc

Just tested paying an installment from Shopee using Maybank Grab credit card.

You'll get AmountX/3 Grab points on your first installment.

In case we are looking for an answer.

I think he meant the coins is given at the first statement and subsequently no more
Maybank known to give rebates/points for transaction even you convert into installments
Many banks don’t give any rewards once you convert it into installments

Pro tip for you guys:

If you would like to buy an expensive item (i.e. Phone / Laptop etc), please don't use any ShopeePay / Lazada Wallet.

Use your credit card. Don't skimp on that RM20+ because of the offers in the wallet. When come dispute stage, you will find it very very hard.

Cuz the liability of dispute has been shifted from the credit card to wallet. It means that your credit card paid for the wallet credit. And Shopee/Lazada DID give you the credit. So service rendered and you are at the mercy of Shopee/Lazada to help you get your item refunded.

been using this card for months. not so bad la, constantly earn 3k-5k coins which equal to rm30-rm50 every month, not to mentioned rm20+rm15 rebate every tuesday, save gao gao alrdy.😊
