For those who missed out on this event... Guys, brief report for Ultimate Warrior Final day 1 highlights...
First of all, applause for all fighters, most of them fought well, really put up a gusty fight.
Most of them fought for total 5 rounds and winner was awarded by point system. 80% of the figther are fr Muay Thai based or kickboxing based, there is 1 Karate fighter, a few Shanshou fighther and 1 Silat fighter.
There are a few highlights for the day.
One of the best fight was between Bernard, a kickboxing dude fr Sarawak against X- Ultimate Warrior champion. I will have to say the X- champion was rather cocky and end up loss to Bernard, who eventually made it to the final.
Another good fight was by 1 Silat opponent against 1 pure MT based fighter. It was really an eye opener for me to see how real silat perform. He uses alot of sidekick that eventually stop the MT fighter from executing his turning kick and punches. Silat fighter won in the end but failed to move on to final.
Really respect those who made it to the last 4. Imagine fighting for 2 bouts within a day, 5 rounds per bout. It takes sheer guts, determination and lotsa stamina to sustain it to the last.
I miss out the final on Sunday, Heavy weight final was between Bernard and Khoo fr TNT. Anyone mind to update??
For those of you who think that you can fight better than them, prove it by taking part for next yr challenge. Yes it might not involve ground fight, it prohibits knee and elbow, but i will still conclude this as one of the best MA competition in M'sia.
To join Ultimate warrior , what is the max weight I can be ? I don't mind in the category of heavy weight , just tell me what is the requirement to join the competition. Thanks
the nunchaku stuff on the net is usually just for entertainment purposes.. lol... if wan learn, learn from some experienced. though u could modify the internet teachings into attacking but it won't be very effective
Nunchaks rebound that time sakit lar. Lol. They dont stay like sticks. They get rebounded. Lol. Try silambam or the japanese or chinese staff. But best is to learn Capoeira. Cause they also got fight with parang. Imagine this lar. Some robber come rob u with parang, and u manage to take his parang, whut u do? Shure lar use it lar. Lol. Anyways. Whoever wants to join in the CApoeira community can give me a pm.

lol.. so funny that video.. all the martial art wannabe's doing their best but can 't hit a dead mouse even if it's already dead.
Capoeira, any videos or can explain, which kicks u you for which situation? Would you be caught offguard if a quick attack comes while 1 of your legs is extended to the back while doing Ginga?
I'm interested to know, cause there should be a longer recovery time for normal capoeira fighters after a big aerial flip, which the other styles will take advantage and attack.

Lol...Everybody has the wrong perception of capoeira. If a capoeirista sees an unavoidable fight coming(robbery, bar brawl), he finishes it by any means available. Anything goes. Classic old timers used razors hidden away. Flips and stunts are for showing off and performances only. When you come down to it, capoeira is probably a crappy martial art. However, the awareness and craftiness, the tips and tricks a capoeirista absorbs would probably make it one of the best self-defence arts in the world.
The ginga is a movement which enables the capoeirista to keep his weight constantly flexible. So, a quick attack would see the capoeirista just moving out of the way, and counterattacking when the opponent pulls back.
