QUOTE(mirmozeck @ Feb 27 2021, 05:50 PM) I just subcribe Maxis One Go Wifi today. Download and upload speed around 16mbps. Using TP-Link MR600. Quite sad coz the speed is not as expected but better than my unifi lite(streamyx) 4mbps. Yours okay. See mine Kinda frustrating. Haih. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Really regret signing up this plan with 12-months contract. Speed is really bad. Especially from 7pm-12am.

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Mar 7 2021, 12:14 PM) I have a feeling the ZTE router is bottlenecking the speed. I can never go beyond 30mbps at night when no congestion. In comparison, my umobile hotspot can reach 48mbps on VPN in the middle of the night. |

Which means you tried both SIMs in the same ZTE router? For what I meant no good is that it’s a 4G only router. So, if one’s location supports 4G+, they may not get the full speed at their location using the ZTE router by Maxis. |

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Feb 14 2021, 10:06 PM) No, you can use the SIM in any 4G supported devices, eg. Phone, router, MiFi, etc. Hello, how to subscribe with sim only? in Maxis website there is no option to buy sim only, forced to buy sim along with ZTE routerYou could take the SIM only, and it doesn't have contract. 12 months contract applied if you take the 4G router for RM1. |

QUOTE(Langiler @ Mar 12 2021, 03:50 AM) Hello, how to subscribe with sim only? in Maxis website there is no option to buy sim only, forced to buy sim along with ZTE router Please read carefully "Add on (optional): RM1 with 12-month contract" below the "buy now". Only if you take the 4G router from Maxis for RM1, you'll be tied to a 12-month contract. I don't see any "forcing" like you said. This plan is RM138: NP. There's an RM30 rebate for 12-month (no contract) = RM108 if you're a Maxis postpaid user. Anyway, you may just visit any Maxis center and walk away with the SIM only free-of-contract. BTW, I was using this plan previously. Already terminated it due to changing to Unifi Fiber finally got coverage at my location. This post has been edited by ckimsem: Mar 12 2021, 07:53 AM |

QUOTE(Zack_Cloud14 @ Dec 1 2020, 09:47 PM) Hahahaha, bro, same boat here. I complained to MCMC, in the end, Maxis Customer Service will email you asking for more details (location and all), now waiting for their reply. I did take this plan with router provided by maxis. If terminate, do i need to return back the modem? As for termination, I asked also. I signed up 2 months back, need pay RM 318 to terminate. The longer u stay on the plan, cheaper termination fee according to CS. |

Hi! I just subscribed to MaxisOne GO Wifi. I got around 20 mbps through the router but when i insert the sim into my phone, i easily got 100+mbps. The first image is when i connected to the wifi through the router and the latter is when i inserted the sim into my phone and used it as data. Does changing to a better router help with this, if so what router should i get?

Some routers are 4G only capable, which may limit the speed to 30+mbps.![]() ![]() Which phone do you use? Most of the phones nowadays are 4G+ capable, that’s why you may reach 100+mbps on 4G+ network. So, there’s a high chance of getting better speed with a good router, e.g. Huawei B618 or B818. Note: for congestion issues, regardless of whatever router you use, it’ll be the same. And, also there’s the throttling issue as some people said here, plus the 300gb high speed quotas. I am currently eyeing for this package from Maxis due to less hassle on connecting my hotspot to TV for Netflix viewing.
Often disconnected in the middle of the story I hate contract and my nearest maxis center is offering TP Link Router with it. I'd prefer to buy the 4G router itself so no need to be in contract but browsing through this forum there isn't recommendation for the substitution of the router. Any advice for a better router? What spec should i look for in buying one? |

QUOTE(chephren @ Apr 16 2021, 12:30 PM) I am currently eyeing for this package from Maxis due to less hassle on connecting my hotspot to TV for Netflix viewing. I’m not using this BB from Maxis. But I can recommend this router TP-Link router MR600 it is a 4G+ Router. I’m using Digi with it. Mid range price and my average speed is above 60mbps. Don’t get the TP-Link MR6400. It is only a 4G router, the popular one is from Huawei. The router from Maxis is just a 4G router and the average speed is below 35mbps. For this package, please also take note Maxis throttle the speed to 5mbps in the evening from 8pm to 1200am because of MCO as reported by subscribers here.
