Can anyone confirm if the speed cap after hitting 300gb quota applies to video streaming or the whole internet itself?

Maxis Wifi GO is a terrible, terrible service. I only signed up because they promised that I'd be the first in queue for upgrade to maxis fibre once a port is made available after the previous MCO.

Empty promise. Really disappointed.

I just subcribe Maxis One Go Wifi today. Download and upload speed around 16mbps. Using TP-Link MR600. Quite sad coz the speed is not as expected but better than my unifi lite(streamyx) 4mbps.

That's so much better than mine.
In fact, I keep getting disconnected from the signal. It's really really really shit.

Did you try repositioning your router at different areas of your house?

whatever you do, dont sign up for this package. It's absolutely garbage, speed throttled like nobody's business. Previously can get constand 10++mbps, not can barely even get 4mbps. Useless maxis

Please read carefully "Add on (optional): RM1 with 12-month contract" below the "buy now". Only if you take the 4G router from Maxis for RM1, you'll be tied to a 12-month contract. I don't see any "forcing" like you said.
This plan is RM138: NP. There's an RM30 rebate for 12-month (no contract) = RM108 if you're a Maxis postpaid user. Anyway, you may just visit any Maxis center and walk away with the SIM only free-of-contract.

BTW, I was using this plan previously. Already terminated it due to changing to Unifi Fiber finally got coverage at my location.

Bro...did we need wait 3-5 working day for termination? I walk in Maxis Center they said will pass the case to cs and cs will call me for confirmation of termination....so complicated one?

No, back then 2019, I called Maxis helpline to terminate, and it was terminated after the call ended.
However, earlier this year in Feb 2021, when I called in to change my postpaid to Hotlink prepaid, I was told the same thing that needed to wait 5 working days for their CS calling back for confirmation.
Maybe, Maxis has already changed the TnC.

Sorry, I've no idea. The last time I ported out Maxis was 6 or more years back.
What I know now is porting out from any telco would take a few times. Unless you're a user less than 3 months.

Hi! I just subscribed to MaxisOne GO Wifi. I got around 20 mbps through the router but when i insert the sim into my phone, i easily got 100+mbps. The first image is when i connected to the wifi through the router and the latter is when i inserted the sim into my phone and used it as data. Does changing to a better router help with this, if so what router should i get?

sharing an update on my experience. overall happy but not happy when randomly having problems with selected sites. router system log shows this. I do not understand the "log content". Only can gather it is bad news. Tonight was trying to log in to http://mybayar.rmp.gov.my/ and couldn't. Since then some sites working no problem, some sites forever trying to load. Getting a bunch of connection timed out when I open the console in my web browser.

EDIT: Persistent over multiple reboots of computer and router.

EDIT 2: Definitely Maxis problem since I moved sim card to phone and on hotspot, issue persists

so today just got activate my maxis one go wfi..received it yesterday but just got activated today...try using it with the router given together the zte cpe mf823v and get only around 15Mbps..change it to my current modem huawei e5885 the speed average around 30Mbps..double the router given..haha ..next will wait for my b818 to arrive and test the sim with it...so far compare to current unifi air that im using maxis is better at my place..so will terminate the unifi air soon

Edit: After reposition the maxis router it seems like the speed now is about the same with my modem..so i use it for my work purpose and modem for my son tv

Edit 2: My B818 has arrived...after testing with maxis sim can get 70 - 100Mbps (fast.com)..so ya straightaway ditch the zte cpe..haha

Hi I'm using Maxis GO WiFi too, but suffer a lot of problems, like PC keeps disconnected from router, or it showed connected but can't access Internet, etc.

Should I replace the router that comes with the package, which is ZTE CPE?

Any 4G router can recommend, not too expensive one? The B818 Huawei one is quite expensive right?
