I feel sad to TNG, launch new product also get scold  biggrin.gif

They didn't cheat us, they already mention the return rate around 1.47 pa, still got many ppl complain the interest is low.

The main purpose for this Go+ is for you to generate interest when you got money in e-wallet. Few sen better than nothing  hmm.gif

I think is mainly because TNG advertising too much on this and it looks like something big... but some people disappointed on the return

Basic rubbish product as it will fluctuate daily hence for gain of rm0.01 to rm250 deposit basically useless to the point to There too many suckers in the platform to be sucked into it

The key is to demand that they should return at 1.8% at OPR rates otherwise suckers who are into it basically just robbed of the returns of 0.33% for doing basically nothing and just making CIMB richer rclxms.gif

Their interest have always been lower than us. Cannot compare unless out interest rate the same.
Need to wait one year to get 2.85%p.a by topping up every year and cannot withdraw.

High interest savings account need you to spend to get those interest. I am not willing to spend to get the interest.

I assume you are talking about rhb bonus saver

Once you have incremental of rm500 by the end of each month for the period of 1 year, you get 2.65% interest (before covid rate)
Last I checked, no need to top up every year. (2020 December) Just that without rm500 incremental balance increase, there no extra bonus interest

Have they change their t&c?

"Their interest have always been lower than us." I think @Ramjade talk about SG MMF not RHB bonus saver.

Hmmm, didn't really see much advertisement on that except the popup banner last week when it was released to users.
Perhaps they just thought they could use TNG to be one of their main investment vehicles which is super unlikely.

I think it's a great step for educating Malaysians about MMF and investment in general. How many people out there don't even know what's the interest rate of their basic savings account? Yes it has shitty returns, but it's probably the first investment some Malaysians make in their entire life. From then on, they can start to explore other options with high returns (along with their risks as well).

But that means you need to deposit rm500 every month right? Then that rm500 is lock up and cannot be removed right? If remove won't have incremental of rm500/month.

It's monthly incremental of rm500 for 1 year only and that's it
After that you may withdraw any amount of the balance and still enjoy the 2.65% (pre covid rate)
There's No need of yearly deposit nor min spending as you claimed
To enjoy extra 0.5% or 0.1%( not sure about the bonus rate, please refer to rhb for accurate details) you will need to have monthly incremental of rm500 and this is not compulsory

Disclaimers
*This requirement remains true as of December 2020
*Rate mentioned is pre covid

IMO there's nothing wrong with ths GO+ feature per se, it's nice to earn a few sen with TnG balance especially heavy user.

But IMO it's also mostly something to combat the people who complain about how TnG has no cash out and any money put in is wasted 🀣 it's a way to one-up the other major ewallet competitors who have similar problems and to compete against wider DuitNow implementation. So it's not an ideal investment vehicle, but it does it's job at helping retain existing TnG users la

Principal just basically smoke and mirrors to CIMB

If you’re comparing to Versa itself better liquidity with better rate of returns with 0% expense ratio while Go is just basically 0.33% go out the drain for consumers

Hence consumer awareness and education are important because when there’s no demand they will most likely have to raise the rate of return in order to attract new funds into it with the current climate

Thanks for directing me to this thread! Lots of good information by forum netizens. Thank you to all who shared their experience.

Gonna try maximising credit card benefits by moving into TnG then Go+ and around. lmao

Nevertheless it looks like there is no close contender to Versa's combination of transaction speed + returns.

Normal. For deposits they take around 2 to 3 biz days to complete from receiving the FPX deposit to invest in MMF. 28/3 Sunday non biz day, so should finish later today once money is invested into MMF and they'll reflect in Versa.

If not then better call customer service and check laugh.gif

Newbie here. I am starting to notice there are many players now for MMF. So far which are the better choice below; in your opinion. Also, are there more options available besides the 3 I've named?

1. StashAway Simple
2. Versa
3. TnG GO+
