No. Stock camera app doesn't support night mode on ultra-wide lens.

Your friend will need gcam for that. And for 4k 60fps with EIS stabilisation as well.

Yeah, I was kinda hoping the Nord would come with the Mediatek Dimensity processor as per earlier rumours but in the end they went with SD765. Hopefully Realme will also bring in some phones powered by this processor soon.

TradeShoppe is trustable, they been in AP imports business of Xiaomi stuffs for quite a few years. I bought my MiA3 with them and claimed warranty with them (bad luck me got the screen malfunctioned within 2 months) and they fixed for me without charges.

But again I will still advice you to get a local set as the price different is really negligible. Lowest local price ever go is about RM2.1k + 10% coinsback.

well they said they don't plan to release it outside of china, so only have to wait for import unit. now thinking if i should wait for someone to do the dirty work or i should just grab it from taobao myself. it's out of stock now for MSRP so need to wait a little anyways. so many scalpers selling at 10-20% mark up.

another worrying thing is that i haven't seen any antutu benchmark that hits the advertised 500k score like the iQ00 Z1 on youtube, mostly only around 470k. some also complained some stutter compared to SD865.

some reviews pointed out games that shouldn't have fps cap still capped out at 60hz. and also the 120hz on battery drain test is not out yet. hopefully software can save of the problems lol.

this release really making me hesitate more on what to switch to (s10+ import/poco f2 pro/k30 ultra/oneplus nord) but if there's no good poco f2 pro for 9.9, i'll probably focus on sniping k30 ultra from taobao (rip warranty tho).

when you talk about buying at taobao yourself, do you mean using the official shipping and ship to malaysia?
i might be wrong but i remember that official taobao shipping cant ship electronics item with battery to malaysia.
Unless you using third party shipping company, then yes. But then you might have to pay for "sensitive item" charge too.

about the performance, i think is very good for the asking price. and is 120hz amoled screen. cant complain more. now i just wait patiently. not in urgent for anything.

you mean the k30 ultra? have yet to saw any. and they're probably pre-oders as well. lemme do some quick research.

gonna use third party if i'm going buy the k30 ultra. rarely used the taobao shipping as it's more expensive with my third party one.

the only worry here is warranty issues as it is cheap to ship it over here to malaysia, but i have yet to find any cheap way to ship it back to china. the cheapest so far i tried was poslaju, but it was a disaster because of how slow it is and our tracking numbers are different from theirs.

i wonder how will warranty works for sellers importing them here. if it gives like 1-2 year warranty as well, i wonder how much premium they charging over us buying directly from china

the price is goddamn tempting. the dilemma now is if I should bother paying roughly RM 400-500 extra for:
Poco F2 Pro with SD 865 and possibly Lineage OS rom?
Imported S10+ with SD 855, but 1-3 month warranty?

Or should i just bite the bullet and save like 30% from buying the K30 Ultra for:
a slightly weaker processor than SD865
MIUI 12 with ads (unlikely to get custom rom due to China only release)
120hz but not yet proven to work in games (youtube showing capped 60hz in games)
and weaker battery performance due to 120hz consumption lower capacity
non-existence warranty since it's impossible to send it back for cheap.

but 1/3 savings is super attractive, since i can change my phone in 2 years instead my original planned 3 year cycle.

10 mins is maximum and this is kind of standard across all mobile phone.

No phone will allow your screen on forever, unless you are watching movie on it.

Some more this is AMOLED, if always awake, soon your screen will face burn-in issue.

Really? Didn't know such thing. Ayam still using LCD, old iPhone can turn on forever, current android can max 30mins.

Old android also can keep on forever.

And yes, AMOLED will suffer for burn in the longer it's used, and worse if it displaying something static over time.
