Yes, dedicated 5MP macro lens with auto focus, that’s a rare stuff among other phones. Most brand went for 2MP fixed focus lens for that.

Not to bad mouth f2 pro  , as I didnt owned it, or even tested it in real life, 'usually' there's difference in build quality between different price bracket product. I didnt owned/tested mi 10 also 
When I owned poco f1, the build quality will tell you it's 'good value' product, not premium flagship. Not sure how difference with f2 pro, as it's cost/price are much much higher than f1.

It's in same price range now due to age and promotion. Like comparing used BMW vs latest Camry, there's people prefer one or another.

The F2 Pro is good value product at RM1799 too. Better build quality than the Note 20
Yeah, that macro camera is next level, however as per my internal testing, the normal camera and wide angle are just pretty standard. It'll do a good job, but definitely not in the same class as the Samsungs or iPhones of this world.

Most people these days don't need root and xposed. Only a handful wanted to get the best out of their phones.

Last time root to install ad-blocker, xposed, theme machine    those are so nerdy days

Unless your parent is irritated by the ads notification or bloatware or both, he should be fine to stay on China ROM. China ROM gets updates more frequent than Global ROM. It's just that the way how both ROMs handle the ads and bloatware are slightly different.

A bit tricky. Most important things are backup the phone, always remember the account detail and password for Xiaomi account that was last bound to the phone, and never ever lock your bootloader when flashing back to original stock rom (mi flash tool set the option to lock bootloader by default).

Strange, it's a MY set but different office.

My set defaulted with English Uk and Malaysia region on first boot.

After update MIUI12 and reset, its now Bahasa and Malaysia region as the preselected option for first boot.
