Hmm then some so called AP, bringing in sets with vodaphone/o2 casings on it, but reflashed to normal firmware...and as far as I know, these phones belong exclusively to those telco companies, and given under contract...fishy...

So technically, you pay the taxes and duties, it's considered AP? Doesnt matter how it's obtained?

I just bought Nokia 6280 from a shop in Seremban..it has i-mobile sticker at back that shown 07/06..what does it mean? Does the warranty start on july 06? when i ask the saleperson, he said the phone is original and new and has one year warranty from nokia from the date i bought which 28 April 07..is that true? or i just being conned?

Now let me tell you the story about my nokia handset (zitron warranty).

I bought one few days ago at this handphone shop (not stalls) near tesco mutiara in the evening. The next morning I found out that the handset hangs whenever the charger is inserted. By lunch time, I brought it to nokia care. It was returned to me 2 hours later but when I got home I found that the problem's still there. Was advised to go back to the shop where I bought the phone to get an exchange since it's a brand new set and that I did (within 24 hrs). The shop held on to the set, promised to call and never did. I made numerous trips to  the shop and almost squatted there.
Finally, someone from the company called me and told me they can't exchange a set no matter what. Once the warranty card is chopped the handset is yours and your problem. So now it's going to some zitron authorized service centers and will take approximately 3 weeks I was told.
I feel cheated. I insisted on a zitron set thinking I will surely get better after sales service. Now after paying >rm1000 I am being told that I have to wait for almost a month before I can get to use the phone. How would you feel ?
Is there any difference between a zitron and avaxx set?

I requested for an exchange but that salesman say boss say have to check first lah, scold him also no use, say he makan gaji only lar.

hi all. regarding ap company,
i just bought one phone today from LYN forumner.
it came with a warranty card with address and T&C of the company, but there is no dealer stamp or whatsoever =_=...

do i need to fill in the details and send it back to them on the date of purchase? or just bring it along to claim warranty? no idea here..

1) The seller told me the difference battery is better and warranty can claim international? Is that true or anything different beside the 1st post explaination?

where does csl's n95 come from?? is it advisable to get csl over avaxx or zitron?? money is not really a prob act...but it's gd if can save a lil bit...as long as it wouldn't give much problem.. hope to hear from u guys soon...

Hi everyone, Im getting myself a new SE hp soon and it is an AP set.. how can i actually determine it is a original accesory and not a recon phone? izzit by typing >*<<*<* to check it? if yes, how can i check it? which option should i choose? Guys, my dad jz bought a Original Midland W300i. Yesterday i notice the memory card included is not Sony but SanDisk and the data cable seems poor quality. Any idea how to verify those accessories is original or not?

? You mean firmware? AP set/Ori set can update their firmware for free thru SEUS..

Some AP set can't update through SEUS because of the different of CDA number. They have to flash to APAC region firmware with correct CDA number before can update through SEUS.
