If i wanna convert to SGD from MYR, do i:
1. Add money into myr then convert to sgd
2. Or add sgd right away

I thought wise was more expensive compared to moneymatch, but apparently u can add money with wise and get away with no fees?

sonotme i don't understand what you are trying to say. one can deposit SGD from sg bank acct to Wise for free. and withdraw to sg bank acct for free

however, if u are to convert MYR->SGD, wise will charge you 0.57%. this is more expensive than moneymatch 0.3% (during office hours. never ever convert MYR->SGD in moneymatch during weekends/off hours)

Yeah i had the same thought and had a long discussion with my friend.
Apparently u can go to wise sgd wallet, click add money. Then u choose which bank u want to transfer the RM from. See the picture, no fees.
So they asked why i wanna deposit RM first and convert in the wise app to sgd (which has fees), whereelse i could get away with no fees by just "add" money.

sonotme the fee is there. There's two figure

• RM10,471.50
• RM10,534.33

that's RM62.83 in fees. 0.6%

i also done at the atm enter pin and take out due to unable to click anything.

i use their wise card and use paywave, it automatically denied, but the pin , is workable ?

maybe if manually convert then no fee. but if they need to auto convert then got fee. lol.

Basically, there is no fee if you convert it yourself, but a 1% fee applies if they do it for you when your balance is insufficient.

is there a 'best' time to convert money via wise? does converting during office hours for best rates apply?

I only use Wise to convert AUD to MYR.

Most times i receive the money instantaneously from 8am - 8pm (work days). Outside these hours, i get it about 3 hours later. I haven't tried it on the weekends so i don't know.

I find the rates slightly better after about 10am (weekdays).
