QUOTE(sairay @ Sep 9 2023, 12:27 AM) HSBC gave me their swift code n the MCA no. However can't find where to put this data on the wise apps during sending options. A little bit of correction. SWIFT fees is cheap, only few USD cents per MT103 message as it is called (not called transaction). It is the intermediary bank fees that stacks up as it goes from sender to receiver. All the banks need to make money, right? Some illustration hereWow the swift fees are more expensive than TT charges? Kind of ridiculous. I had been regularly buying USD in local bank under mca but the charges fees + exchange rate not very favourable. So am thinking to use wise to buy USD until max then transfer to my HSBC MCA. would this save me some money? You see RENTAS is using SWIFT as backend also, but the local intermediary banks charge from RM5 onwards only, that's like USD1++ and the local banks is still profiting from each transfer. Imagine those overseas banks fees... |

QUOTE(KingArthurVI @ May 2 2024, 03:32 PM) I echo some recent sentiments around Wise's service deterioration of late. Been doing Wise to IBKR for the past few months but lately (esp. this last week) my FPX transfers have been really slow getting into my Wise MYR balance. How slow is slow ? Recent weeks I have been transferring multiple times via Bank Transfer and FPX to both foreign banks and direct-to-brokers. Foreign banks are reflected almost immediate within seconds/minutes. Direct-to-broker will take longer like half a day or few hours. So I believe the slow is broker side clearing. |

Just to share for today's rate, for each MYR10k to SGD, I saved SGD8.30 using Money Match during working hours as compared to Wise, as advised by members here. TOS liked this post
