Is it a good idea to opt for the business account? I'm receiving 30-40k monthly, but the 20k cap is frustrating.

Worried that they may close if its used for personal usage.

Bros,... if you are able to get hold of a DBS Multi-Currency Account, all the above problems will be solved and the costs will be cheaper.

EDited : Sorry, if you are receiving RM, then the DBS MCA is not applicable. Somehow,... the DBS MCA does not have an RM Wallet.

I don't mind paying for the card. I just dislike the fees on the transactions. Even transferring money back to a bank account in the same currency (MYR) has fees.

is it "Wise" to apply this?

I already have BigPay & PayPal, also Tng Wallet (wish it had foreign a/c too)
so many eWallet and Pay like GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay for different purposes doh.gif (of course only available use in Msia)

Hope to have just only 1-2 eWallet/pay can manage all my utilities, local/foreign bank transfers, daily expenses

I wish so too lol. Thought of using Wise for everything but the fees are a major disadvantage.

Thank you for your respective replies, dwRK, ZeneticX and Gwynbleidd.

Yes, paying RM 13.70 fee for Wise Visa Prepaid Card is not a big issue, as long as we can get reasonable benefits from using the card.

If we transfer our money from our savings accounts in foreign country to Wise Multi Currency Account, and then spend the money via Wise Visa Prepaid Card (swiping the card on credit card terminals, or paying for online transactions), income tax is till being imposed on our money, right?

I am willing to spend RM13.70 /year and give it to wise especially the part where I get access to a multicurrency account. What do I get if I paid RM13/year to Malaysian banks? Nothing.

Trust me. The wise multicurrency account is a game changer for those receiving USD. I have been receiving free USD every year for almost 5 years form shopback sites in US and I couldn't be more pelaee with it. So kart just cough up the money. It's cheap.

iirc... merchantrade you can only top up myr through them and convert at their markup rates

wise you get your own virtual accounts, anyone can top up / deposit supported currencies... if require conversion will be spot rate + fee

wise is by far better

if you just wanna spend, buy overseas stuff... big pay better
