Yes, cancelled with immediate effect.

Malaysia prepare to defend the Ringgit, I don“t think this will help too much, but it is how it is.
*
What do you mean malaysia to defend ringgit?

Wait for official email. I did not received any email yet. Use alternative like instarem/bigpay to transfer money.

Does instarem/bigpay works the same as Transferwise?

Nope. They cannot hold foreign currency or received foreign currency.

fintech? Mind to disclose more?

Later. Going to test if it works first. Most important is if they will accept Malaysians as their customer.

but would like to know after that, what are the options to fund the transfer of MYR to SGD? is it through our m'sia bank?

m'sian bank -> transferwise (exchange MYR into SGD) -> sg bank

Funding is via FPX

QUOTE(b0rhui @ May 26 2021, 05:42 PM)
Now borderless account feature is disabled in MY.

Is it possible to receive money from overseas by providing local bank details without a Transferwise account?

(In other words, giving my local bank details to a foreigner with a Transferwise account)
*
Yes if you give your Malaysian bank account they can send you money as they have license to received money. They are also licensed to send money out.

He's anti TransferWise cause they close his account without reason. Cause he use his account for crypto.

Brother, dont simply claim I used for crypto ....You just used your own justification and the reason is unknown. Dont simply justify it.

If you want to get the reason and challenge me, please contact Wise and get them to tell the reason. Otherwise, dont always state that reason I used crypti and they closed me.

Otherwise, keep your mouth shut!
*
I have used my account for normal things and until today never get banned. Almost 5 years+. No issue. You used yours for crypto right?

I am still holding to my borderless account. Good account or received cashback for my USD shopping and send it to sg for minimal cost to be reinvested.

QUOTE(TOS @ Nov 13 2021, 08:31 PM)
Just to ask, if I go to SG for a research exchange next year and will stay there for around 3 months, can I open a Wise borderless account there using my hostel address, then switch over to MY address when I return to MY?

Will the borderless account be closed after I switched my address?

Also, the "debit card" costs 10 SGD, you guys pay for the same amount back in Malaysia when it was available?
*
You don't even need sg address now. Apparently they brought back borderless for Malaysians already.

I apply mine back then without any sg address. You have youtrip, revolut card. Go compare and see which one is the cheapest. No need die die use TransferWise.

Not yet. But since he is going to sg, he will have access to revolut which I believe is better than TransferWise.

TransferWise of course. You cannot store foreign currency with bigpay.

If you have no need to store foreign currency, bigpwy, transfereise and coming soon mymy works
