Hi all, anyone have used local japan taxi to travel with luggages? Im thinking of using the go app to move from one Airbnb to another Airbnb, 2 adults + 2 kids with 4 luggages (2x large and 2 hand carry) with a stroller.

Japan Law, baby 1 days old also consider are one Pax. Japan Taxi only can take 3 pax. As long are Human...auto consider as one pax.
Remember select van, Normally will be Alphard. ....Expensive..... cool2.gif
Stroller consider as Large Luggage...5 luggages...emm emm....I doubt even Alphard allow too......One word...hilat
I Suggest you Squueze into 3 Luggage + 1 Stroller.
Japan law above everything...don't even try, Japan taxi driver will closed one eye open one eye.....

Anyone taken Vietnam Airlines to Japan before? I mean, I have tried PAL before, the only shit thing is Manila airport. VN should be much better? The usual ANA/JAL/MAS got no promo for the dates I wanted.

They're okay. Try to opt for layover at Saigon instead of Hanoi. It's a much shorter walk to transfer desk after getting out of Vietnam Airlines plane at Saigon airport, compared to Hanoi airport. They make you go through another round of full security check at Hanoi airport. The security check at Saigon airport was very express like.

I'm not familiar with winter boots per se, but what brands are you referring to? Some consider Clark Desert Boots as winter boots, some think Dr Martens and Timberlands are winter boots, some only consider Ugg to be proper winter boots. If you're looking specifically for these, then lots of thrift/2nd hand shops around Tokyo carry them.

I’m not looking for any specific brand.
just something that can last me for the 2 week trip.

If there’s a place that rents winter boots as well, that could be another good option for me. nod.gif

You will find plenty of boots in second hand shops or thrift stores. Just inspect them carefully before buying them and they'll last the duration of your 2 week trip.

I'm not sure if there are rentals of these winter boots. I assume you are not referring to ski or snow boots yeah.

Why not consider buying cheap one in like decathlon? Rm129 can get entry lvl pair already. Personally for me as much as possible I would want to settle essential clothing shoes etc before heading to holiday so I don’t have the stress of trying to find the correct essential thing in a place that I’m not familiar in.
