Hi all,

what would be the best area to stay for easy connectivity, had to travel to tokyo big sight for 3 days to attend an expo.

also, will it better to travel directly to Haneda airport as it closer to city centre? as Narita is far away? Yes i can get direct flight to both from where i flying,

October time. thank you smile.gif

Haneda is closer but normally from KL reaching Haneda always Midnight. Narita is about 1 hour away from City but your flight reaching Narita will be 1-2pm.
I prefer Haneda because I already expert of Haneda airport layout biggrin.gif .

Due to midnight arriving at Haneda, you only had 30 minute from Last train (Monorail or Keihin). If you first time to Haneda basically you will 100% missed it. Your only option left Limousine Bus. Last Limousine Bus also giving you 1 hour from your touch down time. Do your homework, how to get Limousine bus....Familiarize the airport layout and procedure of getting the bus ticket. if you missed the bus, your only option are over night at Airport or taking Rm 800 taxi from airport to Tokyo City.

Not so bad la, i manage to get the train at haneda on my last visit. you need to beeline for the ticket counter. Services are very fast at the airport. But agree with bro Cid, do homework on bus in case any wintermelontaufu happen and the train left.

Haneda is so lovely I’m missing it so much already. It always mark the start and the end of my journey in Tokyo and left me bittersweet feelings.

I usually stay there until 5am when the first train start due to Airasia schedule

I always opt for Singapore Airlines as they have Haneda flight that arrive in the morning. Almost all hotels in Tokyo will keep your luggage until u check-in in the afternoon. I will leave bag, go for breakfast and explore temples and back to hotel for check-in after late lunch

Singapore Airline to Haneda already change to 10pm arrived time after Covid. All Foreigners International flight to Haneda only allow arrived at Night.
Morning & Afternoon time are reserved for ANA & JAL for boosting their ticket sales.
If you Take ANA from Singapore to Haneda then you will arrived in morning.

It will be permanently. Before Covid, 70% from outside of Japan are schedule to land at Haneda at 9-11pm. Now 100%
You want good timing at Haneda, you are forced to take JAL & ANA or landed at Narita.
This is how the Good Government do thing. Boost own carrier and Boost Narita Airport income.

Pre-Covid Time, ANA & JAL from KUL & SIN are reaching at 10pm. Now reschedule to 6.30pm!!!!

Mid or March Condition: Heavy Snow
Otaru - Sapporo are heavy usage road, so road will be always in removed snow by those snow boulder truck. Safe to drive but need extra caution.
Niseko & Hakodate road condition will be very bad. Train will be 50/50 chances closed due to heavy snow.
No snow driving experience are not recommended.

End of March / Early April Condition: Snow
Otaru - Sapporo road condition will good but still in slippery condition. Drive with extra caution.

Niseko & Hakodate road condition will be very slippery. Both side of Road can see very thick snow wall. Snow Boulder truck cleaning snow ration not as much as Sapporo - Otaru, so snow accumulated in road will be alot and very slippery. JR Hokkaido train will be operation.
(No Snow driving experience are not recommended)

the dilemma. coz not possible to fly anytime this year - changing x amount meaning the cash lay still, sitting in the drawer sweat.gif probably monitor the rate for a bit more. If it falls below 3, definitely will jump at it.

Similar to End of March. Snow just starting to drop. Usually morning will be more thicker snow due to overnight accumulate

Prices will likely soar due to demand…

Look at how Australia flight prices sky rocketed when their borders opened.

well their volume game is quite low. can't cope with demand. the stupid travel visa not helping. Japan on the other hand is very accessible for most of the world.

Actually, I anticipate there will be crazy demand for Japan when the border opens. Lots of people I've spoken to said they want to travel to Japan when border opens.

Also you have 49% of Singaporeans that are ready to travel to Japan with their powerful SGD: https://mothership.sg/2022/08/japan-singapo...el-destination/
