Hi guys,

Planning to go Tokyo next month, and will land at Narita Airport.
I have googled and found this app, Japan Web Info.

Have anyone download and find it helpful especially on reducing Custom clearance queue time and etc?

Thanks
*
depends if there are many flights arriving around the same time as you but no harm to use visit japan web

i was in osaka last week and the immi/custom clearance was straightforward and easy with the qr code.

also good to see many places accept e-wallet for payment so TNG is quite handy when i am low in cash

you will get qr code after completed the visit japan web so immi/custom can scan that code instead of traditional way of filling up the white arrival card

hi just wanna ask about the tateyama alpine route, which i plan to go from nagano. seeing that need to prebook multiple tickets etc, would it be worth the price to book a tour via klook? about 1k per person.

Anyone have experience taking batik air to narita? Thinking of going this december to spend christmas and new year there and the prices are quite decent as including 20kg baggage compared to mas or airasia.

Batik Air used Narrow body aircraft B737 Max ....seat pitch (legroom) are nice, Better than MAS, On par with ANA...can't beat JAL.
Weakness of Narrow Body are toilet part. Entire Economy Class only got 2 toilet serving 130 - 150 pax. If you not the type going Toilet often, this will be none issue for you.

Narita Airport got 2 good & 1 bad .....Good is This Airport only operation until 8.55pm, means no late night rush like Haneda. It got 1200 Yen cheap express bus from Narita to Shibuya / Ginza. Bad is......narita famous for wind Shear....Very windy airport, landing will be very rough, very bumpy, very high chances go around
if you are kind of passenger easy get dizzy, Narita gurantee you air sickness to the max. tongue.gif ....Free Roller Coaster Experience

Batik Air got IFE, but they will not provided any headphone, bring your own 3.5mm Jack headphone. biggrin.gif

This Tour from Nagano > Tateyama Alpine Route > Nagano.....If this plan suit you then ok.
People who prefer Nagano > Tateyama Alpine Route > Toyama, then you had to DIY it, without any tour.

Narita are diffrent story. Because it was not an 24 hrs airport. It only operate until 8:55pm.
Schedule very tight due to many airlines coming in & out plus one day only got 14 hrs operation.
Narita doest allow any airlines suka suka change, it will be blacklisted.

Flew few times with Batik Air....On time , sometimes early 30 minute from schedule. biggrin.gif

i see, thanks for the really helpful insight. planning to go mid may. already going to kurobe gorge, but my better half would like to consider alpine route as well. we have 1 day extra in nagano - either just go around the city (which i think ntg much) or do the day trip. not sure if weather/rain will affect anything though.

i shall have look at those places.

any reason to stay at takayama over shirakawago other than the price and more choices? also the reason why i was not thinking of toyama is because I dun think i can handle the diy to alpine route with all the visitors - prefer a bit more chill. that being said guided tours via klook only depart from nagano.

the accommodations i book all have free cancellation. so still can adjust if needed to.

Takayama got alot restraurant, snack, cafe & Onsen. Proper little town. Shirakawago got nothing, basically nothing. Dinner cooked by accomodation, once dinner done, That it, Ends, no more entertaiment, outside pitch black, nothing...no cafe, no restraurant, no entertaiment. If you like quiet, chill, super boring enviroment. Then can overnight at Shirakawago.

I went direct, it’s hard to book though because they only open up the booking system 2 weeks before
I wrote about my experience on this in my blog, hope it will be useful to all:
