Have anybody used the Philippine Airlines from Malaysia to Narita?
Was its acceptable?
The price was almost half of ANA, 800 cheaper than AIRASIA.
I gave up on JAL & MAS

How long is the waiting period at manila? My PAL ticket cost me RM1491 for a return trip and its totally worth it. Other than the slight delay, you are getting the proper airline experience including professional flight attendants, served meals and entertainment systems; while still being cheaper than AA

If you are using wise, no extra charges whatsoever, from spending at BIC camera to small individual vendors. Been using it here for the past two weeks. Unless you are retrieving cash here using ATM then there will be a 7% charges.

thanks so much bro! glad that you replied!

Question on ATM withdrawals, Wise support is hopeless... i asked them a simple question on which ATM brands can do cash withdrawal, they gave me a Visa site listing all ATM machines accepting Visa bangwall.gif
There's not much info on the web as well, I think its 30000yen per month before they start charging fees
Wise website stats Family mart and e-net ATMs, some forums mentioned Seven bank or post offices are workable some times
did you try cash withdrawal from Japanese ATMs?

Their answer are correct.

Any ATM in Japan that supports credit card (VISA) withdrawal, you can withdraw using WISE card. Just look for VISA logo at the ATM. Domestic ATM that just support local bank card do not have VISA/Cirrus logo on their ATM

Yup. Retrieved at one of family mart outlet and it’s straightforward. Any of lawson or 7-11 will do the job as well and they are literally everywhere. Do remember to bring enough cash here though if you are visiting more kampung places.

Of course, there will always be withdrawal fee when you withdraw from overseas. Some country you get charged twice. 1 time from own card company and 1 time from foreign ATM

Thanks bro!

Were you charged ¥220 or something by the Family mart or 7-11 ATM? Wise only charges ¥70 if you have exceeded ¥30000 within the month. Some forums are saying their were charge by the ATM themselves, not by Wise
https://www.reddit.com/r/japanlife/comments...ise_debit_card/

How kampung is kampung? Shirakawago, Kamikochi and Takayama considered kampung?

P.s. I think that person in reddit withdrew during non business hours, seven bank website say withdrawal is free from 7am to 7pm

In Eye of Edokko, all outside of Tokyo consider as Kampung.
As other capital cities, Okinawa are Kampung.
In eyes of Okinawa people, a placed don't have convenience store consider as Kampung.
So, Shirakawago, Kamikochi are consider as Kampung. Takayama 10 years ago are Kampung, When I first visit Takayama, it is classified as Kampung. biggrin.gif

As foreigners, all spot outside of capital cities of Prefectures are consider as Kampung. Example, Nagoya are capital of Aichi Prefectures.

JR Central normally service disrupted at Maibara Area. JR East normally delay due to snow. train operating speed reduce.

Zao Ropeway depends on that day weather. Bus from Yamagata to Zao Onsen no problem.

Recently I saw some people asking about Philippine Airlines. I personnel flying twice & transit once at Manila.
Aircraft flight experience are excellent. Aircraft are equipped with very modern & responsive IFE on A320 & A321 this kind narrow body aircraft.
Food are good but not excellent as Japan / Korea / Singapore / Cathay Pacific.

What I don't like was Transit in Manila. Terminal are old and always crowded. Feel cramp. shakehead.gif
Recently I found this video. This also latest video about Manila airport terminal.

End of March to early April are Kyoto Sakura season. Beautiful but hotel price also highest. Hokkaido just past peak winter season, hotel price all starting lower down.

Depends your budget and timing. If right in Sakura season + got budget sure Kyoto.
