3) I've checked on google map Torokko Kameoka Station to Hozugawa River boat need 30 mins walk, on sagano website, it said take Keihan Kyoto Kotsū route 39 around 12mins ride.
Just not sure on can this bus can tap on suica or need special ticket.

2018 Japan Govt introduce new law to Airbnb. Now All Airbnb host required a copy of your passport. If the Host are some kind of weido, he might used your passport front page to do something bad which I really don't like.
Airbnb are legal in Japan similar like Hotel, Host need License & hotel SOP restriction, Airbnb are no longer cheap in Japan.

Late March & Early April are Sakura Season. Abit hard. 60% chances you can't get it unless you go for the expensive berth. such as Class A - Single Deluxe 17280 Yen + JR Rail Pass or Class B - Single 12900 Yen + JR Rail Pass
Expensive berth then your chances are 65% because it cost more than flight ticket, usually Japanese won't so crazy on this 2 berth except Train Otaku which is very rare.

If you really board on this Train. No Matter what is your Coach Number .......Just stay at Coach No. 11 Sign on platform floor. Once the train door open, Rush Into Coach 11 & Turn Left into Coach No. 10 Shower Vending machine !!! Buy the MotherFxxxx Shower Card ASAP!! Prepare 330Yen Coin when you at Platform!!! It MUST EXACTLY 330 Yen
The Train leaving Tokyo Station on 22:00.....Get your Ass on Platform at 21:30!!!

Shower Card on Sunrise are super super super rare Card & So limited. Everyone wanted it!! No shower card you can't access into Shower Room....Hot Shower before sleep or Wake up early & take a hot shower are most most Enjoy thing on this Sunrise Train.

DOn't ASK me how I know....This is my 6 times Sunrise Train Experience !!!

If you take the Class A Single Deluxe then forget it because Amenity bag got shower card (Money Power)

1. Since I need to do return trip Tokyo osaka
I guess it's cheaper to buy JR pass right?

2. The hotel I'm staying doesn't have people manning the lobby. Can I order online and pick up from JR station instead?

3. How much more expensive if buying physical at Japan compare to online?

JR Pass does't do that way. First You had to buy JR Pass in Malaysia. Alot travel Agency / JTB got sell JR Rail Pass.
Once you buy the JR Rail pass, you only got Exchange Order. Bring this Exchange Order + Passport to JR Ticket Office only can received the Real actual JR Rail Pass.

You cannot get JR Rail Pass in Japan. Some JR rail pass such as JR Tokyo Wide Pass & JR Hokakido Rail Pass ...etc.etc... can purchaces in Japan but JR Rail Pass 100% NO. It had to be exchange with Exchange Order.

If you reach Japan by AirAsia X. No way you can get JR Rail Pass on 1st Day because JR Ticket Office closed at 10pm.

NO...The Exhanger Order are printed out from Malaysia. JR Japan cannot issue Exchange Order.

Go JTB Malaysia.

7 day JR pass costs ¥29000

It’s just marginally cheaper with the pass, not sure if it’s worth the hassle?

I agree with above. You must make sure you travel back within 7 days to make it worth buying. Day one regardless what time you start using it will end at 23.59.

Looks like I don't get much savings for 1 x round trip.
Guess I will buy single pass bah.
And save the hassle.

Can single pass bought in advance and make reservation from website?
Or have to do it in train terminal?

Do they accept credit card?
