Had a look at the car just now. This one is definitely the most solidly built model to come out of proton yet. The doors shut with a reassuring thud, and there aren't so many unsightly gaps. Headroom is greatly improved compared to the original Gen 2 and overall the car looks and feels decent, with ok plastics&upholstery and a sensible layout. The door handles are more solid than the ugly scratch&win rounded ones in the first batch Gen2, and there is a glove box now. This is the car Proton ought to have introduced when they first released the original Gen 2. With the Persona I finally get the feeling that Proton has listened to the Malaysian public. If only they had listened to the rakyat all along and built a car that Malaysians wanted and needed....
Anyway, I hope for Proton's sake that the Persona does well. I think this car deserves that much, irregardless of who built it.

I also read, u only have to push a bit then the boot auto close.

i think only h-line have that. maybe chip knows better?but then again, chip's is m-line kan?

Remote trunk release only for h-line. Only that i know.

untuk release H-line je ada remote.... kalo untuk tutup.... semua line auto tutup on halfway

manual waja yr 2004, i go lowyat with that waja... onli isi rm 5 je... petrol pam selalu tgk i mcm org sengkek.... no mod.. no prob at all...

isi rm 10 pi balik kl serdang... antar pc lor... so kena kire bajet.....

He meant his Waja very fuel saving that RM10 petrol can go 80km, enough to cover KL-Serdang return trip.
Sometime he only refuel RM5 at petrol station, and people around showed strange expressions.

my experience in my industrial traning last time.
government offer a project to setup a lab in an government institute, so ofcos only bumiput*ra company can take the project.
after tht ,bumiput*ra company find a chin*se company to take the project.

at first, the government pay bumiput*ra company 100k for tht project.
then bumiput*ra company find the chin*se company and offer them 50k for the project.
at last, chin*se company finish the project with fulfillment of all the spec required with 10k.

at the end, bumiput*ra company earn 50k, chin*se company earn 40k, and government hav a 10k lab by paying 100k.

WTA is this the same as wht happens to P1 too?
let say P1 initially put a budget of RM500 for a dashboard, but at the end they only have a RM100 dashboard installed in the car. so the result is a crappy car with high building cost.

But one thing still worries me. The FC. HOw good will it be? Since the car is larger then waja and gen-2 (supposily heavier as well) will it be worse than both of them > The waja and gen-2 already a fuel drinker.

With CPS/VIM = More power = Higher FC is acceptable.

BUT..

With CPS/VIM = NO power = Jerky gearbox = Higher FC is NOT acceptable.

Do u know that for RM50K u can actually get City? Can u PLEASE compare City's quality with Pesona?

Sometimes I don't get people. The Vios is even more sempit but I have never heard of anyone complain about the roofline of a Vios.

But when Proton's roof is low abit... all sorts of complaints come out.
