QUOTE(bobiq @ Sep 5 2007, 10:55 AM)
Problems i encountered wit the car:
1) Central locking rosak for one door
2) Ceiling upholstery not fitted in properly
3) Drivers door lock isn't alligned properly.(slightly lower than normal, like drop abit like that)
4) The foldable backseat got rattling noise from the locking mechanism.(i added some paper there n noise gone)

Car is in service center now to fix those problems.Overall i think its the QC isnt good enuff i suppose.More to workmanship problems than design problems.

Regarding the FC i'll update later for city driving(petrol havent finish yet...)but on the metre console it is stated the FC as 7.6L/100km.Not sure how accurate tat is yet.
*
I think workmanship problem is due to time constraint to cater the massive incoming orders.

You all should read paul tan's blog very detail info on the persona. He tested the persona you all should read it
http://paultan.org/archives/2007/08/15/pro...-sedan-details/

He did mention about some build issues here and there typical of proton cars la. Still think perdana is the best but its a total rip off of the mitsu eclipse

Agree, Perdana S4 has the least problem except minor failure such as alternator need to be replace(common issue). No idea for PV6 since the gearbox tend to overheat? It takes years for engineers to resolve this issue? OMG..

But i cannot jump into conclusion because they are very few Perdana running on the road.

Like most of us, we Like the car But we HaTe the manufacturer, build quality, the brand(image), management and their People as well...Agree ????/

actually..the waiting time for many cars are also rather long
there was a time where ppl had to wait a few months for the vios
(or is it still like that? i dun know cause i can never afford it)

so...be patient lo
lambat tak ape...asalkan selamat
as long as the car arrives in good condition and without problems ....it should be ok to wait kua?

yea i agree every new car also sure got problem, i sent my persona to SC to fix the defects n they did a good job of it.Now no more problems n the car is problem free..so far la..

Just wanna ask a noob question here, must i really wait until the first 1000km service b4 i can push the car to its limits?really tempted to test the cars acceleration but ppl say new must keep rpm below 3k.What will happen actually if i just rev the engine high now?

this is call new car running in coz whole car mechanical new and still hv some still hard meterial inside engine and gear. so the 1st 1000km is to gv engine run smooth to clean n clear those hard material. I hv read some car manual and didnt mention about changing gear oil on the 1st 1000km but some article hv mention nid to flush gear oil for the 1st 1000km as well for keeping ur gear box healthy. i have read some artical when u reach 1000km and b4 u go service try go to highway and shift to 3rd gear and run to 100km/h for 1min and i dunno wether v can do this on campro engine or not. dun blame me if u do this and ur engine burn. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

That happen becoz they try to keep up with the booking process.
If they late to deliver the car, people start complaining again.
When this minor issue happen, complain again rolleyes.gif
