I booked my ML(MT) Iri White during the soft launch.
Loan all approved,salesman said can get the car before Merdeka

I still dun get it why is everyone still comparing proton cars to honda,nissan,etc.

But in real life circumstances i wonder if the plant if even operating at 1/4 of its maximum capacity.

YAY!! my SA just called me and told me to collect my car tomorrow.

Persona ML,i know tomorow holiday...but maybe the sales person is extra hardworking?? He told me himself to collect it tomorrow.

yaya jpj all settle already,got my car no.plate already as well.(WQL ****)
I think it all depends on the SA,if the SA is good then everything will kaotim fast.

wanna ask one thing though,when collect car shud i check everything if functioning or not?tis is my first car so quite noob still.

I just got my persona 2 days ago,the overall performance is satisfactory.Comfortable ride and nice insulation.

BUT,only 2 days got problem already,central locking rosak for one passenger door.Gonna complain to proton later.Sorry no pics yet,will take later in the day if free.Working now =P

After driving my Persona around for the past few days,i've concluded wit the following:

1) Very comfortable n pleasant drive.(i know coz i drove it from penang to kl)
2) Pump full tank petrol only rm65,can go up to 450km.(highway driving+city driving)
3) Workmanship is so-so....so far i found 4 defects already.Wont say them to avoid bashers.
4) Performance wise,i havent really gone above 3000rpm yet so cant really test its power n pick up.But driving under 3k rpm is sufficient to achieve speeds up to 110km/h.
5) Has a solid feel to the car,gives the feeling tat tis car can take on some harsh road conditions/driving.

Problems i encountered wit the car:
1) Central locking rosak for one door
2) Ceiling upholstery not fitted in properly
3) Drivers door lock isn't alligned properly.(slightly lower than normal,like drop abit like that)
4) The foldable backseat got rattling noise from the locking mechanism.(i added some paper there n noise gone)

Car is in service center now to fix those problems.Overall i think its the QC isnt good enuff i suppose.More to workmanship problems than design problems.

Regarding the FC i'll update later for city driving(petrol havent finish yet...)but on the metre console it is stated the FC as 7.6L/100km.Not sure how accurate tat is yet.

yea i agree every new car also sure got problem, i sent my persona to SC to fix the defects n they did a good job of it.Now no more problems n the car is problem free..so far la..

Just wanna ask a noob question here,must i really wait until the first 1000km service b4 i can push the car to its limits?really tempted to test the cars acceleration but ppl say new must keep rpm below 3k.What will happen actually if i just rev the engine high now?

hmm...as much as i'd like to listen to kcng,something tells me i shudnt
But i've heard from someone tat if u dun redline ur engine when new it will have less power in the future.Something bout not releasing the engine's true potential.

hmm...gonna try to redline my persona tonite..

hahaha...ofcoz will hunt u down.now just wondering where in penang can find straight road wit no bumps n less cars.
